I have no picture because it all went really quickly but I was doing the Shadows in the Desert quest and I completed the Realgam Colosseum for the ninth time for the quest, I know I completed it because I went against this dude and his last mon is a Shadow Tyranitar, and I clicked fast enough to kill his Tyranitar and I even catched it, so I'm 100% sure that I completed it, but the Dungeon closed with time during the Hyperball animation, I got the "You took too much time" message and it wasn't counted as completing the dungeon.

I'm not certain if it's a bug or if the ball animation is just suppoed to finish to complete the dungeon, but I do remember times when I was fighting for legendaries in dungeon and the dungeon completed while the ball was turning and it did count it.

The catch is calculated at start of the animation (the animation is just for flavor and balancing) but for the dungeon to be successfully completed the animation must be over

I can confirm the « bug ».
This is due to how dungeon trainers are handled. Not sure it is worth fixing, though.

#

I would probably make the catch fail if the time is over, lul. Would fix the same issue with temp battles too.

well I just completed the Stark Mountain, the hyper ball animation started on Skarmory, didn't have time to finish but it still counted the dungeon as completed

Yes, it only fails against trainers.

so it's specific to trainers ending with shadow pokémon then

because im like severely over the recommended attack for shadow trainers

#

so I guess ill never have these issues

#

but idk depends on a dev if they want to tweak it

#

i ould not say ‘fix’ maybe its intended idk

doesn't look intended and it's a minor problem at best
