I will talk about Slovak Easter because that one is more wild than anything.

On easter morning, 'šibačka’ takes place. Šibačka involves young men using a ceremonial sticks made from willow springs decorated with ribbons to gently smack female relatives and neighbors. Each house they go to they can drink alchol and eat abundantly + they receive one ribbon per house the visited to decorate their willow stick.

Not only that but the men are also recommended
to pour either cold water or spray perfume on the women.

This tradition is to ensure the beauty, health and fertility of the women.

I know this sounds very misogynistic- but we're allowed to do the same to the men in the afternoon in the region I'm from 😌
