WiFi issues Lowkey need help asap

Hello,

I bought my PC from you guys almost 2 years ago now, and I’ve been playing games and doing my schoolwork without any issues at all. Then all of a sudden, the WiFi just slowly became worse day by day.

Right now, I’m grateful to even have 300 ping, because on average I’m reaching around 1100 on Fortnite, which made me delete the game. Rocket League was reaching about 500 ping, making it unplayable, and now Valorant has at least 1000 ping, though it sometimes drops when nobody else is at home.

I used to always get around 15–30 ping, and sometimes even 0 when I was lucky, so this is a huge change. I really need help and don’t know what to do. I’ve even spoken to my WiFi provider, and they said it might be something on the receiver’s end for some reason.

Also, I tested my WiFi speeds: on a bad day it can hit around 35 Mbps, and on good days around 75 Mbps.

Is anyone able to help, please?

I’d check your network drivers are up to date

Device manager —> whatever your network device is -> right click -> update (I think that’s the order, or similar(

Would drop a note to tech support also with your order number as they may have some better ideas

thanks fore the reply brother but ive tried literally updating them and everything and it still doesnt work at all for no reason. My speed is high now as ive contacted vodafone but the issue is im lagging in games with valorant even tho my speed is reaching above 120+ so idk why but if theres anything else you can suggest it would be helpful or i am able to go on call with any helpers if possible

You’re more in need of official tech support as it could be a parts issue, have you tried Ethernet?

Could also look at a powerline adapter if you don’t have a Ethernet port near the px

Unfortunantly im unable to conect to ethernet as my router is downstairs and this never has happened to me within the two years i have had my pc for so im unsure as of to why this is only happening now.

One end plugs in near your router via power. It is then connected to your router via an Ethernet cable

One end plus in near your computer. It is then connected to your PC via en Ethernet cable

Transfers Ethernet via power rather than direct Ethernet lines.

Arguably the best way to get a wired connection if your pc is no where near your router

But the speeds do heavily depend on your houses wiring

But generally, even if the download speeds were “slow”, the connection is still much stronger/stable

The issue is this issue never used to happen at all

so i know its not the wiif

because look at my speed

its ranges from 70-130

is this a issue that has been experienced by others too?

WiFi can be temperamental and lots of external factors can affect WiFi performance so I wouldn't necessarily rule it out

Could be a dying part and just needs to be replaced

I also have an issue with my PC loosing connection after I shut it down and wake it up for 6 hours. All the sudden, I’m having trouble trying to go to a site on my browser and trying to log in to Discord on start up. I did update my driver that other day, but didn’t work. But we I did is disabling my power management.
