50-130fps is a big range
it never stays at a constant amount
:tada: Congrats @bronze smelt, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
what are your thermals like
Download either the Installer or Portable version
For temperatures, run in Sensor Only mode.
you can use hwinfo to monitor your thermals
where do i find hwinfo
oh i found it
which is my thermals? @potent isle
Run it in sensors only mode
:tada: Congrats @bronze smelt, you levelled up to 2! :tada:
Temps look normal here is this with the game open?
37c for the GPU is very low so guessing these are idle temps
It was in the fortnite lobby
Ah try monitor the temps whilst in game
As Fortnite lobby isn't very intensive and it caps the fps too
Ill try play a game now
Do u know the normal fps for my specs
HD ?
1920 x1080
Definitely 240+
That video isn't normal your framerate is dropping and the game is stuttering way too much
Yeah especially since its not even in the game its in the starter island
Is this a new PC and have you updated your drivers?
Ive had it for around a year and it still has always performed like this I thought it was underperforming as 100 fps, I would even get that on nperformance mode
Whens the last time you updated your GPU driver?
Just tried again even went on performance mode and optimised my nvidia 3d settings to all performance however i can still hardly reach the mid 200s
With everything on settings fortnite low and performance mode
Update your GPU driver and restart PC it'd probs help
Will do now
Nice lemme know how it goes
also just checking you have the game installed on an SSD and not a HDD?
Yeah
:tada: Congrats @bronze smelt, you levelled up to 3! :tada:
Is this your first time playing Fortnite on that pc?
Tbh this looks fine now, thats not bad for spawn island
Mine used to do this when I first installed it for the first couple of games tbh
No ive played for ages
And when did it start doing it?
Nevermind I’ve just read
Does it do this in any other games?
:tada: Congrats @primal lark, you levelled up to 22! :tada:
Im not entirely sure what is average for the games I play but sometimes i play games and i do expect higher fps and I know i dont have an noc
Have you made sure xmp is enabled in bios
What’s that
Xtreme Memory Profile, it allows your RAM to run at the highest speed possible
CyberPower would of enabled it when they shipped your PC
It'd only be turned off if you did a BIOS update or messed with the BIOS at all
Yes it is enabled
Also when i download or update something witgh epic games launcher it makes my programsn not respond half ther tim,e, it cuts my wifi access
Additionally my disk usage goes to 100% which causes the ethernet to go to 0% (this is a pattern i noticed)
@versed light
This is normal when you're updating a game
Downloading - increased disk usage / network usage
Installing, reading or writing the files doesn't require internet as the files are already downloaded
Ok i just wanted to add
About my fps again
I watched a video of someone with my same specs and they were even on a higher resolution
they got double my fps
They got like 400-500
While i get 120-240 on fortnite performance mode
I don’t even get 4-500 in 1440p with a 5080 and a 9800x3d
in performance mode with all low settings ?>
:tada: Congrats @bronze smelt, you levelled up to 4! :tada:
Well no I play maxed out but still, try ramp up your settings and then see how it performs
medium settings on directx12, my fps ranges from 70 to 130
