#CPU Overheating Issue

Last year, I had my Cyberpower PC serviced by Cyberpower due to overheating and GPU issues. The GPU was fixed, but I think I'm still experiencing some issues with overheating.

I'm not too sure what the temps of a CPU should be but it's currently at 100% after using Unity and playing some Fortnite. I restarted the PC and got a BIOS warning saying that the CPU was overheating.

I currently have a fan pointed at the PC, with only discord, brave, and a few other background processes open and my CPU is not dropping under 98 degrees. It's also currently a 20 degree C day, I don't know what effect that's having.

Specs:
RTX 3070 Super
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900KF
32 GB Ram
MSI AIO Liquid Cooler

msi aio's have been known to fail/have issues

#

i'd recommend using something like HWiNFO to monitor temps

HWiNFO

Download either the Installer or Portable version
For temperatures, run in Sensor Only mode.

crimson plank

No, sorry

#

I just know it's MSI because of the logo

#

#

if you still have the invoice for your order you should be able to see what cooler it had

#

alternatively you could find the barcode on it

crimson plank
#

I'd have to do that, because I didn't buy the PC

#

I just turned the PC off for a few mins and its still at 99 degrees, would the censor be faulty?

ember pelican
#

doubt it

#

i think you should replace the AIO tbh

if you're out of warranty you could try - contact them directly and let them know the issues you're having with cooling for your CPU

crimson plank
#

Okay, thank you.

It goes to 100 degrees in bios, I'm so lost on what's wrong 😭

#

Unfortunately if you’ve already take the aio off a reseated it I would agree with miles in saying the aio has failed

#

Don’t keep switching it on as it’s switching itself off to protect everything
