:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
oh
What do you think?
is this a PC for just gaming or will you be doing other things on it?
Gaming and Productivity
will you be using it for anything intensive like video editing or 3d modelling etc?
Video editing and maybe modelling at some point .
I’ve been told it’s the best cpu there is atm and gaming wise only 1-2 fps out and for productivity it’s the best
it is the best CPU but i was just seeing if you actually needed it - if you do plan on using your system for video editing i would go with it
i'm creating a config now to see if i can change the cost without affecting performance
I’d use it for its intended use. I was told only thing I can really change is the motherboard as apparently that’s over kill unless I’m running like loads of drives
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 2! :tada:
That’s what I was thinking but obviously want the same components
you can get better price to performance with your current budget - i've got similar specs for £400 cheaper or so
What would change ? If we were keeping the same core components
And exact same performance?
what i've changed:
- case fans, icue - you didn't have any selected before so i added some to keep your rig nice and cool
- motherboard, it was overkill for what you had as you said, not necessary to get all the best features
- PSU - you had the same wattage PSU for quite a bit more money selected so i decided to go with another one
- drives: you have two 990 pros from Samsung selected - they're fast but not good value IMO. i have selected a 2TB MP700 from corsair (it's super duper fast) as the main boot drive and a 2TB NV3 from Kingston that's also very fast
Case: CyberPowerPC Silvina Mid-Tower Gaming Case - White [-8]
Case Fans: 4x Corsair iCUE LINK QX120 RGB White Fan Kit [+82]
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D - 16-Core 4.30GHz, 5.70GHz Turbo - 128MB L3 Cache Processor, Pro OC Compatible w/ Radeon Graphics [+513]
CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE Link Titan 360mm RX RGB AIO Liquid Cooler (Ultimate OC Compatible) - White [+51]
Motherboard: MSI Pro X870-P WIFI: ATX w/ PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.2, 3x M.2 [+72]
M.2 SSD: 2TB Kingston NV3 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD - 6000MB/s Read & 5000MB/s Write [+83] (1 Drive)
M.2 SSD: 2TB Corsair MP700 Pro M.2 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD - 12400MB/s Read & 11800MB/s Write [+187] (1 Drive)

lmk what you think! the base specs are pretty similar, i've just added some fans & changed the PSU, drives and motherboard
Wait woah that’s gone down a lot, is this basically 1 on1 you’ve jdut changed motherboard , drives and added case fans? I was told I had some but if you think this would make it even better I rather do what would make it better
you have case fans from your AIO (3) and i've added another 4 (totalling 7) - that means 3 at the front, 3 at the top and one rear exhaust fan
Can anymore be added? Or is that the max
for that case i think that's all you can add
So by adding what you’ve done I’ve actually got a better quote ?
it was also on a different configurator that is cheaper in general - all the parts are the same though
Ah that makes sense , so I’ve basically got a better quote ? And one of the best pcs there is without obviously going liquid cooled? That’s what people keep telling me but idk
your CPU is liquid cooled by an AIO (all in one) which means it's enclosed and requires no user effort to maintain - not like a traditional water cooling loop
your GPU will be air cooled though yeah
Ah that’s what I thought but without going down the liquid cooled route I’m guessing I have the best there can be ? That’s what someone told me before
yeah those are pretty much the best specs you can get
Another company quoted £4.7k for this

Don’t want to post the quote properly or say who as might be against rules but was that a rip off ? Compared to your quote
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 3! :tada:
i wouldn't describe it as a rip-off, just that money could be better spent
Ooh makes sense , and the quote you gave is better than one I’ve jdut showed from another company
And for temps and noise , would this be some what quiet jdut the general noise obviously
Don’t want overheating etc or hot temps
you should be set for cooling - your case fans should keep the air circulating so that nothing gets hot & your CPU has an AIO so it's all good
So I won’t need extra cooking if need be
Can’t add anymore ?
i don't think the current case can hold any more fans - you shouldn't need any more anyway
Awesome ! I’m jdut confused why you managed to get it cheaper but cyber themselves said I had the best and couldn’t really get any cheaper .
I really do appreciate you
i'm not official CPUK support or anything and i just used a cheaper configurator
You’re actually really helpful because you’ve saved money while keeping exact same specs.
So the quote i sent you from another company . Your quote is better ?
IMO yeah it's better
And in your opinion yours is better than the original by cyber ?
yeah it's better value for money and has nice cooling
Thank you !!!
You’re a life saver I’ve been going around for weeks and no one’s been able to actually be reasonable like you !
Do you know what the cyber warranty and testing is like ?
And for gaming it’s like one of the best cpus? Like 1-2fps out? Cause i know productivity it’s the best
Sorry just wanna confirm all this before I buy later . And for the case that’s good case ?
CPUK test their PCs before sending them out and their warranty is 5 years labour, 2 years parts, 12 months collect and return as well as life-time support
there's an option to get extended warranty
yeah it's pretty much as good as you can get for everything (including gaming)
CPUK are really good with support if you do run into any issues - they're quick to get it sorted
I just didn’t wanna think I could he better on the gaming side cause I’d be doing both as much as each other. But as I said I’ve been told it’s only a 1-2fps difference
What would you do? The current would be fine?
yeah the difference is minimal between the 9800X3D and 9950X3D for gaming - you'll barely notice it with a 5090
Awesome and for warranty would you upgrade or go with the default ?
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 4! :tada:
honestly yeah the current is fine IMO but it's up to you - if you're ever so slightly out of warranty CPUK might repair your system out of goodwill, they've done it before for people
they're good like that
Okay thank you ! The case though? That’s good? I really liked the fractal north xl but obviously isn’t stocked here so was told was best alternative
You’ve literally been a star and really helped me feel more better about buying my pc though
well... you could always buy the case yourself and send it to CPUK - there's an option to send your own case in
and they'll happily build in it
In your opinion if you had to choose out of the 2 would you stick with the one they offered me or go for one I said ?
If the case I have on the quite is fine I’ll stick with that but want to know what you’d do?
@stable obsidian
it's completely up to you - the case you selected is good but if you really want the Fractal North XL you should go for it
Would there even be any difference? I’m doubting myself now .
in terms of performance? not really - it's a case so it doesn't have too much of an impact on performance other than cooling. the Silvina case seems pretty good in terms of cooling - it has a mesh front behind the wood by the looks of it so it should be pretty good with cooling as well as keeping dust out
oooh interesting - you can get 2 more fans in
so if you want more fans for the looks or something that's always a possibility
The XL? And the photo is the Silvina ?
for the silvina you can get 2 more fans in, for the Fractal North XL i think the max is 7 if you want the glass side panel (which i recommend it looks nicer)
Could you add the 2 more fans for me to the quote you made?
Cyber just emailed me saying they had a better quote faster storage if I ever wanted and ram but went up to £5148.. huh 😂

oh they added the MP700 which is what i added which is a faster drive, they also changed the RAM to 6400MHz from 6000MHz by the looks of it
they've also added case fans
6400MHz isn't ideal for AMD iirc - they work much better at 6000MHz
which is why i never selected 6400MHz
i'll add the 2 extra fans to the config i sent

Thank you ! And the case is that glass panel?
Yh I saw what they did but even so doesn’t make sense ? I was told 6000 was good as any higher is issues and even so your price is way cheaper
yeah the Silvina has a glass side panel
Guessing it’s jdut the configurator they used . Because even if you added that ram it would be cheaper.
Also with everything you’ve added. I can’t fit anything else in?
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 5! :tada:
yeah this PC is as decked out as it gets 💀 you've got the best parts in here IMO
😂😂😂 awesome thank you ! And last thing is good temps and everything ? Won’t be too loud ? And because it’s a different price to what cyber are giving they won’t try change the price ?
Cause yours is 4600 and they quoted more
temps should be good with all those fans - you shouldn't experience any overheating at all! should be nice and quiet given you have so much cooling - they shouldn't really need to ramp up in speed
Thank you so much! I’m just still confused why they quoted be so much more if you’re saying I have the best there is
some configurators are just more expensive despite having the same parts
the different configurators are there so if you don't really know where to start they can give you a starting point for your budget
but for some reason end up being a little more expensive than they should be
So it’s basically a starting point for people on a budget but it works out in people’s favour ? Like obviously you’d think a better configurator would give better prices and specs for the price .
yeah it's a little weird that each configurator has different prices but it's just how the website works i guess
I’m guessing cyber just decided to choose the more expensive one
might've just been because they selected something similar to your price point and changed it a little - which means it would have been more expensive than other configurators
Ooh that makes sense because I didn’t give them a price point but I shared a PDF of another company and they said they would try match
To get best quote
One company was 1k more expensive though and guessing cyber just price matched
1k more expensive 😭
They literally said to me vis email ‘we tried to get it cheaper internally but ended up not sending the quote’ ‘if we sent the quote why would you buy from us if we are £1k more’
💀
Worst bit is they were wanting to help me with a config and suggested here 😂 so someone’s getting fired
But thank you ! I’ll be ordering my pc from here this weekend at some point
alright, lmk how it goes! sometimes the prices change/some parts become unavailable if that's the case LMK and i'll remake the config
Awesome ! Quick question.. do I have the best cooling paste ? I know they also offer pads but bars are rubbish imo from what I’ve heard
thermal paste isn't really anything to worry about tbh - unless you plan on doing extreme overclocking (which voids your warranty) you won't need any special thermal paste
Oh na I don’t do anything that can harm the pc or void warranty in long run
You’ve made me more excited now ! I’m literally saving money even if it’s not a lot
@stable obsidian is the ram the MP700? I was about to buy but shows Kingston
the MP700 is a storage drive - where windows will be
your RAM is 64GB 6000MHz Kingston Fury Beast RGB Memory
Ah , what I meant is it shows this : 2TB Kingston NV3 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD - 6000MB/s Read & 5000MB/s Write
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 6! :tada:
As well as 2TB Corsair MP700 Pro M.2 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD - 12400MB/s Read & 11800MB/s Write
that's a secondary storage drive i added on - you can use it for whatever you like, games or something
Yh I wanted 4tb total. The second drive is still as fast?
the second drive is still very fast - the MP700 is one of the fastest drives there is and they'll use it as the boot drive
It’s not worth having it as a second drive as well as a main?
Because obviously I’m having it as my main drive for obvious reasons but if I wanted to work off the second drive or game
If you think it’s fine let me know
i selected the MP700 as just the boot drive because it's what most of your applications will be running off as well as windows itself - it'll allow you to boot super fast and load apps really quickly
you can use the secondary drive for games or something similar - it's still very fast just it doesn't have a whole operating system on it
so IMO it doesn't need to be as fast
Ah thank you , I jdut wasn’t sure if loading times would be affected.
If I was to at any time use that drive
nah with those two drives you should be golden - loading times will be super fast with either
my boot drive is like 4x slower than the MP700 and my PC still boots in like 20-30 seconds
Okay thank you!!! If any issues I’ll speak to you
@stable obsidian is the power supply enough? says suggested 1000 and selected 1000
yeah 1000w will suffice - you can go higher but it's not necessary
so i'll never go ober 1000w? only cause it says needed 1000w and psu is 1000w
yeah your PC will never draw more than that
most PSUs are capable of supporting spikes (spikes in wattage) of like 150% their rated capacity for short periods of time
corsair PSUs are particularly good for that iirc
I’m surprised though? For all the parts in there I would shove thought it would have used more
the 50 series are quite efficient (despite the 5090 using like 600w)
Ah that makes sense , so even if I was maxing everything out to the max possible I wouldn’t be using more than 1000w? I’m jdut worried I might have issues
that's correct - 1000w will account for your whole PC all at once
What does that mean? As in if I was using everything at once ? Sorry I just want to be safe. So on average how much would I use? I know it depends on what I’m doing
yeah if you were using everything at once (maximum load on all components)
But I’m guessing that would be hard to do
pretty much impossible, especially with your specs
the only time you'll get maximum load on all components is if you're doing a system stress test (a program which puts the maximum load on components)
Also would you say 1440p would be okay for now? I’ll
Eventually do 4k but atm only have 1440p monitor in my budget.
Ah thank you !
this system would look amazing at 4k but you'll get higher framerates on 1440p
so yeah it'd look good
1440p is a really nice middle ground imo
So you’d say 1440p then eventually 4k? Obviously would jdut mean I’d have to do everything at 4k. Also… would you say a 27 inch monitor is okay or has to be 32?
for 1440p 27 inch is optimal iirc
but yeah i'd say eventually switch to 4k? it's up to you honestly
i personally lean more towards higher framerates rather than quality so i have a 1080p monitor (and also because i only have a 3060 ti)
My current is a 1080p monitor but wasnt sure if I should keep hold of that and hold out until I can go 4k eventually?
1080p with a 5090 is kind of wasting performance - it's up to you really, how long will it take for you to get a 4k monitor?
I can get a 1440p rn but 4k not for a while
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 7! :tada:
When I eventually get 4k what size?
32" or larger is the recommended size
yeah it could be an idea - it's up to you honestly, it depends on what you favour more, quality or quantity (in this case quality is the resolution/image quality and quantity is the number of frames)
you won't get low frames on 4k, just less, your system is a beast and will perform amazingly for 4k
1440p if you prefer a higher framerate
Thank you ! I don’t really care about the best frame rate possible just want an average frame rate if that makes sense ? So maybe 4k might be better
I’ll have to have a think atm as 1440p still looks nice
Quick question @stable obsidian for the case you said it’s a good case ? Just seen no reviews for it. I’m literally about to order the pc just wanted to make sure
it'll be difficult to find specific reviews for that case as it's a CyberPowerPC branded case - it is a good case from what i've seen though
Otherwise I wasn’t sure if there any other options ? What else could you recommend ? Would you be able to do me another quote just with a new case so then I have 2 to decide from? But if you had to choose a case

it does work out slightly cheaper and that's because of the fans - it doesn't support as many (max 7) so i reduced the number of case fans to match that
Would this still be as decked out and cool temps wise?
yeah your system would still run cool - the case has quite good cooling tmk
Out of the two quotes would you say the new one is better ? Obviously has less fans so I don’t know ?
I basically wanted it as cool as possible
i'd say the new one looks nicer and you probably won't see much difference in temperature
while the silvina has more fans they're not arranged in the same way, the O11 vision compact has fans at the bottom which will help cool your GPU and you'll have the radiator mounted to the side to cool the CPU
IMO they're pretty similar in terms of overall cooling
But you were going with my specs you’d go with the 011 over the Silvina? So you’re saying because of how the 011 is built it will distribute more air ? Whereas the silvina needed the fans for that?
ultimately it's all down to your preference - the O11 does have better air distribution so it won't require so many fans but it's really up to you to decide which one looks better aesthetically speaking as they'll both perform well enough to cool your system nicely
I obviously get that , I just wanted your opinion if you had to choose one or the other . Also I thought it supported 8 fans not 7?
I’ve read it supports 8
it does but there's no option for 5 case fans - feel free to set it back to 6 but you will have an extra fan sent along with it that won't be used
Ooh na I don’t want spear fans
Last question. Is this one fully decked out the first one?
yeah it's as good as it gets tbh 💀
Okay awesome I’ll have a think over the 2 and tbf you’ve recommended the second one
alr, lmk if you have any more questions!
Apparently Lian li o11 vision has some overheating/high temp issues. I’ve heard people only really go with it for looks?
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 8! :tada:
What’s your opinion on the Factual north XL? If I was to send that case to them?
If I was to go with the factual north XL ordering and sending to them do you know price difference? Because obviously I want the Max fans etc ? @stable obsidian
And would I be able to order and directly send to them ?
That was the case I was originally wanting
not everyone has so many fans - some people don't have fans at the bottom which bring in fresh air for the GPU (as opposed to the side intake which is where the AIO goes, the air is already slightly warmer from the CPU)
Ah thank you that’s something to think about ! And regards to sending on my own case are you able to do a quote for that? Then I could send my case via Amazon to them
the Fractal North XL is a really good case - i wouldn't know the price difference unfortunately, it depends where you get the case from
in terms of cooling it supports 7 fans but it has a more direct path for air flow (i.e. there's no bend like in the O11 vision compact)
North XL offers a transformative take on the gaming PC case in a generous form factor. With fine-patterned mesh ventilation and an open front featuring FSC-certified walnut or oak panels, the design of North XL makes it a stylish addition to any living space while helping components stay cool. Th...
That sounds really good ! Could you do a quote for this ? With everything decked out ? Then obviously the send your own case option?
LMK @stable obsidian
I’ll most likely 100% go with a quote for the north XL
(https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/saved/5969772)
it'd be the cost of this system and the case

Awesome thank you ! And that’s with everything decked out?
Annoying that the white is out stock though
But I can wait. But in terms of everything for that case? I have it decked out?
yeah everything will be as good as it gets
Awesome , I’m guessing the fans on quote are in addition to the case fans ?
Also thank you for everything! I’ll look into the case and order it . Do you know if it can be shipped directly to them?
i'm not 100% sure on the process but i think you have to get the case and send it directly to them - you may want to contact CPUK directly for more instructions on what to do with sending the case over to them
Ah thank you so much!
im going wiht a 5080 over a 5090. soemone told me I would save a lot and Have. obviiously 5090 id better but uses more power and 5080 can still play 4k. but to confirm cpu and the 5080 are still basically the bs there is? minus obviously not beiung a 5090
the 5090 is a lot and it would save you money to go with a 5080 but you obviously wouldn't have as good performance - it's up to you whether you go with the 5080 or 5090
apparently 5090 uses a lot of electricity
And is costly to run
30p extra 💀
:tada: Congrats @quaint wigeon, you levelled up to 32! :tada:
So around £100 more a month ?
I know the 5080 uses half the usage but guessing it’s a lot worse ?
I’m probably being dumb but I worked it out to be just over £100 a month from your calculations
Ah Yh just worked it out . Tbf that’s not that bad is it?
Well true , not that I’m rich 😂 just saved up

@stable obsidian my pc works like a charm so I thank you , my friends been busy so hasn’t had a chance to order his but that price has changed again. Could you henp one Moore time and try her a better price ?
np, i'll remake it rq
has their budget changed?
if so, what's the new budget
Budget hasn’t changed they just said some of the prices went up
If nothing can be done I’ll let them know but wasn’t sure if it was possible to get prices back down
prices went down - when it says there's a price difference it doesn't necessarily mean up

Hey, my friend is about to order the pc today but he wanted to change the gpu to a 5080.
When he does the price obviously goes down a bit, but when hes about to checkout it shows as £2,783.00. I’m not sure if it’s removing anything?
that doesn't seem right
5080 takes it to £3339 but soon as he adds it to checkout it goes down to 2783
Could you maybe have a look and save it with the 5080?
oh i see the confusion - it is 2783 excluding VAT
Ah that makes sense, he probably needs to select country and say no to being a vat company makes sense
Thank you! I’ll let him know. Thank you for all the help
if your friend was on a little more of a budget from 3,339.60 they could drop the CPU to the 9800X3D and the RAM to 32GB rather than 64GB (https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/saved/6003533)

But wouldn’t what he eats going to get be better ? Or would what you just put still be really good
it depends on the use-case
if your friend was also doing video editing and possibily 3d modelling, i'd recommend the 9950X3D, if it's just gaming though, i'd go with the 9800X3D
same applies with memory as well
Also that link is missing the case apparently . Basically he doesn’t know if he will do any 3d modelling but wants to maybe in the future
The selected motherboard does not fit this case, please choose a different case or motherboard.
wtf it's selected a different motherboard too????
What do you mean?
I just clicked the quote you sent didn’t change anything
there's some weird shit going on hang on 😭
Awesome thank you
ahh ok - well if they want to go with the 9950x3d & 64gb of RAM they can

and 32gb of ram
Basically my friend doesn’t know if he’s do 3d modelling but maybe one day but will definitely be editing and gaming . Do what would you recommended
tbh it's really dependent on how much 3d modelling they do - if it's relatively balanced between modelling and gaming i'd go with the 9950x3d, if it's more gaming than modelling i'd go with the 9800x3d
2997.60 sounds like a steal
I believe it will be more editing and gaming
He’s a YouTuber so does editing for that
But let’s say he’s going to mainly edit and game ?
i think the system would suffice for both of those things
it'll be a lot more on the GPU rather than the CPU for video editing/rendering & gaming
So you’d go with the new quote rather than the 9950x3d?
yeah, it'd probably be better for their use-case
Think he just wanted to future proof himself in case he ever does 3d modelling
I’ll let him know now! If it was you getting a new pc which one would you get out of both quotes ?
i'd probably save some money and go with the 9800x3d
Awesome and I’m guessing 32 gb ram will be plenty ? And jdut to confirm everything else is maxed out? Obviously keeping the 5080
yeah it's a pretty well-rounded system imo
Okay thank you , so basically the best it can be apart of gpu obviously and ram. I know originally it was maxed out to the best it could be
:tada: Congrats @tawny heart, you levelled up to 10! :tada:
it'll last many years without an upgrade - i'm talking 5 or 6
And when it does need one it will most likely be the gpu or cpu etc?
yeah it'll likely be one of those - in many years though
Okay thank you , none of us are that good at replacing motherboards etc and other parts so those two would be easiest. Wish I got that one now 😂
My friends saved money and still got a good pc
Jdut to confirm its 2997.60 inc VAT? Before he buys later
yeah it includes VAT in that number, at checkout it'll look like 2498
until the information is entered
Okay thank you ! He’s going to order it this week
