try SignalRGB
I have tried
Only detects my keyboard mic and headphones
have you ever been able to detect your fans RGB
are my fans rgb different from my motherboard
because on msi center apparantly i can change my rgb color for my motherboard but nothing happens
:tada: Congrats @silver crypt, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
iirc cooler master fans can be plugged directly into the motherboard but it depends
i dont know much about pcs its a prebuilt 😭
there's also a button by your power button which may or may not be the RGB button (it depends sometimes), please note, it may also be the hard reset button (it'll restart your PC instantly, so don't do it with unsaved work open)
yeah theres a big square one and a little circle one
i clicked the circle one and my pc just turned off and turned on so i thin that was the hard reset one
just by looking at your motherboard, can you see any loose connections?
i cant see my motherboard
its like on the wall of my computer and the fan is in the way of it
but i see something that says CPU fans
and theres wires coming out of it
on my motherboard
wdym by loose connections ?
connections that are either not in or not in properly
I think they are connected correctly
:tada: Congrats @silver crypt, you levelled up to 2! :tada:
what about around the back of the PC? you will need to take the back side panel off to see all the wires. you should see a fan hub with various connections - if any of them are loose just plug them back in, there's an image below with what they look like (typically)
they should be ARGB
also idk if u could help with this but i had a few questions
im a starter when it comes to pc parts so idrk anything
how do i know when to like use thermal paste or the cooling stuff
and i wanna get more ram but idk like what size i need to get
typically, you won't need to replace thermal paste for years
in terms of maintenance you should give the PC a general dusting every 3-6 months or so, it's up to you really
do you know what RAM you have now?
if unsure you can always check the invoice and it'll say
i have 16gb
is it ddr4 or ddr5
ddr4
you'll need to match the timings and speed of the other set of RAM if you want to use it
tbh, it's not that expensive to just get a whole new set of RAM, it's like £50 for 32gb of ddr4
sometimes you get stability issues when mixing ram
