MSI laptop continuously presses the D key by itself

Had the laptop for a little over 3 years now. Like 2 months ago my laptop just suddenly kept spamming the d key by itself I had no clue why. Looked up typical videos and all they said were to clean it or go to control panel and delete the keyboard. None of those worked. I ended removing the D key cap and accidentally broke it so it's just the exposed key now. It seems to have fixed things but now as of very recent it's started doing the same nonsense again. I have no clue what I'm meant to do but it's insanely frustrating to deal with, I can't even do work or play games properly cuz of the D key spam. Any tips would be really helpful, thanks guys.

It’d be a keyboard fault if anything doubt there’s anyway to fix it without getting the keyboard replaced

Do you think I could use an external keyboard? It would be awkward as hell with a laptop but I can't think of anything else and the issue is driving me through the roof
