Recently acquired a HTC VIVE and it works and connects but the headset runs at 2FPS connected in to my rtx 3050. What can I do

I'm using pc vr on the vive which was released years ago (2015-2016) directly plugged in. It was my mates and he had similar specs

No idea. I spent 2 days as I had to get the software reinstalled on a lighthouse.
(Still busted but that's not the issue as I can use 1)

I'm already on the lowest graphics settings so it's not that

Ahhh understood. It do that. I have 1hdmi cable I have to swap back and forth constantly rn

It runs off steam PC VR

That's for simply functioning, your PC will still need to be able to basically render whatever game you're playing... twice over, in full quality

So what would you recommend I do? Can I get it to atleast 30fps.

Or do I HAVE to update because budget rn ain't there

Use would be mfs, wt, vr chat and dcs

All these run on my pc perfectly fine

it's possible your GPU just doesn't have the capacity for VR - iirc there's a 6GB variant of the 3050 (for some reason???), anyway, it could mean that your GPU is having to use system memory rather than GPU memory which would slow down your experience by a big margin

No I haven't. The only other is in my Xbox series x

Just a heads up the resolution is at 90hrz, can't change it down, the actual resution is super low
