#query about replacement

I recently purchased a computer from Argos, but within the first two hours, it completely stopped working. I have arranged a collection for the next day with Cyberpower. However, I no longer have the original styrofoam that came with the packaging. I went to a local PC shop, and they provided me with bubble wrap, which they used to securely pack the PC, ensuring all parts are well protected. Would this be acceptable for the return?

Additionally, I wanted to clarify whether I need to return the smaller included items, such as the internet USB adapter and the one-year VPN trial, or if I only need to send back the PC and its power cable. If Cyberpower does not return these smaller items, I want to be sure of what to include.

Please let me know how to proceed.

Okay thanks will return all accessories. Yeah I was literally at work and my mother just took the packaging to the bins because it made my room look messy, tried to salvage some but it’s all mushy and broken. I work with Argos and I managed to grab the proper big bubble wrap that will protect it really well. Know it sounds silly but was just a bit upsetting having been told I have to buy a 40 quid box just because I’ve disregarded the packaging even though the pc stopped working not even 2 hours after receiving it. So if it is possible I would prefer to use the box they delivered it in.

# faint harbor Okay thanks will return all accessories. Yeah I was literally at work and my mot...

it's not just a box you get from CPUK, they send the internal packaging which is what i was asking about... the internal packaging (instapak) will help support components such as your GPU so they don't get damaged in transit (most likely cause of damage to internal components is inertia from being thrown around by couriers)

tmk if you use your own packaging and it's not to the same standard as CPUK packaging or better you could be liable for the damage, i know it's a little pricey but £42 isn't really worth the cost of internal components

To be fair I did take out the insurance accidental damage that came with the Argos purchase. So if it does get damaged during transit then I could always claim on the insurance. I was just asking if they would still accept it with the packaging that wasn’t from them. Will cyber power send it back to me in the box they I sent them?
