it's an older architecture and even in scenarios where it could beat the 5080, it's marginal and wouldn't be worth the price (4090s are still very expensive, especially in comparison to a 5080)
furthermore, 4090s are no longer in production and are pretty much sold out everywhere except from second-hand sellers. this means you'll probably end up having to find a second-hand 4090, which will not have a warranty and may be more likely to die
i assume you can, it probably depends on your credit score though
