I brought a cyber power pc in august 2024 and Im pretty sure my graphics card is dying. All games that Im playing have some screen tearing or crash I play crew:motorfest Fortnite rocket league and Roblox and in which all those games Ive experienced crashing, screen tearing and fps drops within the last two weeks. My motherboard has a green light and then a flashing yellow light.
Is there anything I can do?

Firstly are you running the most up to date drivers? What's the specs?
and that light is your ethernet port, I'm assuming you use ethernet?
Oh yes I use Ethernet
Yeah that flashing light is just indication of receive/send signals, That's completely normal
when you say crash, do you mean the game crashes or your whole pc does
also screen tearing can happen in almost any game where the fps doesn't match the monitors refresh rate
My specs are:
Rx 7600
Ryzen 5 5600
16G (2x8GB) Ddr4 3600mhz Corsair vengeance pro
No just the game
No my monitor is 180hz and my fps is set to 180hz
Frames*
and my adrenaline software says it’s up to date
you're not guaranteed to get that in games
what monitor do you have
An ADX firesight 25HF180
when I play Fortnite Im capped at 180fps in game
And the Adrenaline software says i average 316 frames
screen tearing can still happen if you aren't synced properly
:tada: Congrats @dull jay, you levelled up to 10! :tada:
though if you enable amd sync in games you might experience higher input lag
so its up to you if you enable it
it's in the game settings somewhere
as for the crashes, do you get any error messages, boxes that popup, anything like that?
On crew it says gpu lost impossible to continue
:tada: Congrats @rustic crater, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
And other games just crash regularly
I had it on ultra then since that happens put it down to medium and still crash
it says gpu lost?
Yeah
run it on lower settings
I have done that
also even though your drivers are up to date amds drivers are sometimes a little finnicky so i'd advise a clean reinstall
:one: Download the driver for your GPU from the manufacturer's website using the links below, but don't install them yet.
:two: Download the latest version of DDU by clicking the button below, clicking on the top post which is called "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) VXX.X.X.X Released", and clicking the link to *** Download DDU "Installer" *** in that post.
:three: Open the program you just downloaded, and install DDU.
:four: Disconnect from the Internet by unplugging your Ethernet cable or turning off Wi-Fi in the bottom-right corner. This will prevent Windows Update from automatically re-downloading the GPU drivers after rebooting, as we are going to install the driver ourselves.
:five: Open the Start Menu, click the power icon then hold Shift on your keyboard and click Restart. Once your PC has restarted, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, and press 4 to load into safe mode.
:six: Launch DDU, using the icon on your desktop.
:seven: On the right side, select the type as GPU, and the brand as the manufacturer of your GPU. Then, click 'Clean and Restart'.
:eight: Once you have loaded back into Windows, install the GPU drivers you downloaded earlier. Once they have installed and you have rebooted your PC if required, you can reconnect your Internet connection, and your GPU drivers have been fully reinstalled.
Is this how I reinstall?
yes
Ok Thabk you
I’ll see if ut works
Wait do I need a hdmi cable when reinstalling the driver?
@dull jay
How else are you connected?
Display port
That's fine
Oh okay thanks
@dull jay I reset it and it still says this every time I start up Fortnite
Try switch to DX-11 or performance mode
Okay I’ll try performance mode
Sorry for @ it was typed up before
I went on performance mode and it works how did it work?
Well the error message says your GPU Driver is having known issues using D3D-12 (DX12)
So just switching to DX11 or Perf mode will likely fix it
Ohh thank you
:tada: Congrats @rustic crater, you levelled up to 2! :tada:
Just have to wait for either AMD or Fortnite to fix it
okay thank you
