Hi all!

Looking for suggestions for a gaming pc for around 2000-2500 ish, I’m totally new to pc building so unsure as to what’s best etc.
I would ideally like my PC to be suitable for editing videos as I’m interested in making YouTube vids and possible streaming in the future.

Ideally would like the highest quality possible as well not sure how doable 4k is on my budget?

Also appreciate any suggestions for a monitor as well.

Will mainly be playing games like war zone, the first descendant etc.

Thank you.

Given you want productivity I would suggest 7950x3d but if needs be can always drop down to 7800x3d and still be a good processor and still best for gaming. Probably looking at a 4080 super as 4090 is probably just too much for the budget. I'll put something together

That's with a 4090 and a few other things slightly downgraded like 7950x3d to a 7800x3d and a cheaper but still great case

pseudo olive
#

Thank you, is it worth the extra money?

native olive
#

You could also go to 1tb but it is a good 2tb storage with the speeds for that price. The 4090 is definitely worth the extra money if it's something you can afford and if wanting 4k gaming at higher refresh rates but if you are struggling to get there I would recommend sticking with 4080 super

pseudo olive
#

what monitor would you suggest? I would like a cheap second monitor if poss as well as a main one but I think you can add a second one on cyber power for pretty cheap from what I remember reading?

native olive
#

What resolution and frame rates are you wanting?

pseudo olive
#

whatever would be best to match the builds you suggested if possible

native olive
#

If 4k this one. You would struggle to find a 4k 144hz or higher monitor for under 300

#

If 2k with 4080 super (whilst it is also good enough at 4k for many games) this would be good for it

pseudo olive
#

Thank you, if I wanted a second monitor could I just get a cheap one? Or would it have to be specific etc

You can get any on the configurator at the bottom. Some do have special offers for if you bought alongside a pc. One of them also has a bundle with peripherals I believe at the top in special offers

#

You can get any you want alternatively check other places as they would have bigger selections but on the ones on the website the prices are extremely competitive for them

pseudo olive
#

Cheers, I will look into it and let you know which one I go for. As I need all the peripherals as well! Really appreciate your help 😊

#

If I went with the 4080 super is it easy to upgrade it later down the line?

#

I was interested in building one originally but cyber power are great for what I want and it’s just pure convenience 😂

native olive
#

Yeah and you can also send the pc back to cyberpower for them to do any upgrades etc. I believe for first year it's covered with the warranty but after that I'm not too sure but either way it's much more convenient

pseudo olive
native olive
#

You can buy longer warranties but I'm not too clued up on the upgrade stuff beyond first year as haven't come across it much as only got my pc just over a month ago. Np

pseudo olive
#

I’m guessing so just wanted to double check 🤣

#

It’s just I play fifa a bit as well and prefer it on PlayStation to playing it on pc

ps5 does allow 1440p input so should do. at higher refresh rates like the 4k160hz one it will but has to be hdmi 2.1 which i think this one is and with that it will allow the ps5 to do 4k120. as long as it has an hdmi input ps5 will be supported

#

if not hdmi 2.1 then ps5 will still be supported but only at 4k60

#

1 x DisplayPort (1.4a)
2 x HDMI™ (2.1)
1 x Type-C (DP alt.) w/ PD 65W

#

yeah 2.1

#

the tuf gaming 1440p 180hz one is:

#

DisplayPort 1.4 x 1 (HBR2)
HDMI(v2.0) x 2
Earphone Jack : Yes

#

i use a 4k160hz msi monitor and have series x and ps5 connected at full 4k120

pseudo olive
#

So the tuf gaming one is okay?

#

Sorry just tryna find the specs myself as well 😂

native olive
#

the 1440p one should support the ps5. may be able to output at 1440p but will initially be 1080p. you have to do a test on the ps5 to see if the connection is capable of 1440p before it allows it

#

it has 2 hdmi ports so you could also connect another device as pc would be display port

#

To check if your HDMI device is compatible, go to [Settings] > [Screen and Video] > [Video Output] > [Test 1440p Output].

**Results may vary depending on the game being played. 1440p video output on PS5 requires a TV or PC monitor that supports 1440p/60Hz, or 1440p/60Hz and 120Hz.

Hey man was looking at ordering this, I’m guessing that means it’s sold out?

native olive
#

no that just means that prices have changed from before. everything should be fine

#

the price changes regularly

pseudo olive
#

Just letting you know I ordered the first link you sent with the monitor you suggested and all the peripherals! Thank you for all your help

native olive
#

Np hope you enjoy it!

pseudo olive
# native olive Np hope you enjoy it!

One more question man, is there any need to go for a better monitor than ASUS tuf for future reference. The one you sent above is the one I went for! Just wondering if I’m selling myself short or anything

native olive
#

1440p should be fine but 4080 super can definitely do 144hz 4k

#

certain games

pseudo olive
#

Hey man I’ve had this text, what would you say please?

pseudo olive
#

I spoke to them I got some more fans they were only £34, they said with the power I have I could do with more fans
