Specs please
If you are upgrading from Windows 10, you may need to enable TPM and Secure Boot in order to proceed with the Windows 11 installation - please follow the TPM & Secure Boot guide below first.
:warning: When reinstalling Windows, you will lose any files which are not backed up to the cloud or an external drive - please ensure any files you would like to keep are backed up before continuing.
:one: Click the button below and download the 'Create Windows 11 Installation Media' tool.
:two: Follow through the installation tool, and choose 'USB flash drive' when prompted. Your USB flash drive must be 8GB or greater.
:three: Once the tool has finished, shut down the PC you're installing Windows on and insert the USB drive.
:four: Next, repeatedly press the following key while your PC is turning on, depending on your motherboard:
ASUS/ROG: F8
Aorus/Gigabyte: F12
MSI/ASRock/Cyberpower: F11
Then choose your USB drive from the list to boot from it.
:five: Follow through the installation tool. When it asks for your product key, click Skip - your PC will automatically reactivate. Make sure to select the same Windows version as you ordered with your PC, then choose a Custom installation.
:six: Select the drive in which you would like to install Windows on (you will want to install Windows on your SSD, this is typically a smaller drive), delete any partitions which already exist and then select Drive # Unallocated Space, and click Next.
:seven: Once your PC restarts, you will be taken to the first-time setup screen, where you can setup your user account and preferences.
CPU/motherboard/ram something not going right there
Disable XMP and see if it fixes it but windows may be corrupt
So if it resets my bios what would I normally configure?
:tada: Congrats @low swan, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
Should be just there
Ok let me finish this memory diagnostic tool tho g
Now I'm getting an overheating warning
Great. Ok I'm done with this
Next time I'll just buy a car and drive it off a cliff
Ok well its working now. The solution was to do literally nothing
I didn't change anything, I didn't reset anything, I didn't reinstall anything and now its just working as if nothing ever happened...
huh...
I'm not an expert so I cannot explain this well but I'll try
My pc randomly froze while playing Zenless Zone Zero, this has never happened before, I've never had freezing at all, I didn't get any errors or Blue screen, it just froze.
When I rebooted the PC, I got a message on boot up that said something like "Memory overclock failed" and it gave me 2 options, either to load a bios profile or load the last saved settings.
After that happened, my PC would keep freezing when trying to log into windows, again, no Blue screen or error message, just freeze.
Then after about five tries, I decided to use the Windows Diagnostic tool and it detected no problems. After that, I get an overheat warning with a beep going off, I turned my PC off in a panic.
After about 5 minutes ago, i turned it back on... and now its just working
And just as a follow up, i couldn't find that XMP thingy either.
:tada: Congrats @low swan, you levelled up to 2! :tada:

Like, is the number abnormal, is it too high? too low?
I mean the concept is the PC isn't working properly
I dunno what's wrong with it either, it's just plain faulty
so in this screenshot, what were you highlighting when you say "thats an issue"?
