Hi all,

Not sure anything can be done in this situation but figured I would try and ask as my PC was working just fine earlier but after getting some weird .NET errors popping up I decided to do a system restore to 4 days ago.

However when I did this the PC then failed to start and came up with a blue screen of death saying "critical process died" and refused to load up past that screen regardless of how many times I tried it, I looked it up and found it essentially means something in windows has been corrupted.

As such my next step was troubleshooting I tried going into advanced startup settings to run CMD and I ran a SFC /scannow command and the DISM commands neither of which fixed the issue.

After that I resorted to trying too reset the PC using the windows feature to reset it and reinstall windows however the reset tool wouldn't start and just kept saying it failed to start.

As my final resort I resorted to using the USB windows 11 backup stick I recieved with my PC from cyberpower to reinstall windows from that which worked up too the point of windows starting to load up again and going through the windows setup process, however once it got too "let's connect you to a network" it remained on a blank screen as seen in my screenshot and never gave me any options or picked up on the network cable that is connected in the back of the PC.

Which brings me to now completely out of options and wondering if anyone else has any sort of ideas, apologies for the extremely long message.

chilly condor
#

Ok getting CMD up now

opaque crane

Type oobe\bypassnro

chilly condor
#

Doesn't seem to do anything sadly

opaque crane
#

I might be giving you the wrong command lemme see again

chilly condor
#

opaque crane
#

Huh

#

oooh

#

Why are you in x:\sources? thats weird

chilly condor
#

Yes I noticed that it's been in there ever since the issue first started and I tried switching it before and it couldn't find the path as I'm pretty technical myself so I know how to switch directory but it wouldn't do it

opaque crane
#

That command doesn't work my command prompt skills are absolutely trash

opaque crane
#

thats quite odd

#

maybe unplug the USB stick?

chilly condor
#

Hold on just went back to that connect to windows Internet and brought up CMD on there with Shift+F10 and the directory is in the right place and it's running the command this time

opaque crane
#

Ah thats good 😅

chilly condor
#

Yes it's definitely doing more now so will see if it gets any further.

#

Ok looks like I'm into Windows now but it's still not picking up any Internet connection from my network cable and its not even picking up the Wi-Fi options it normally picks up

#

Would it be worth trying to use the "reset this PC" tool in Windows now ?

opaque crane
#

chilly condor
#

Great thank you I will be back ASAP

#

Actually thinking back on it I recieved a disc with drivers on it for the motherboard when I got my PC from Cyberpower would I be able to use that ?

opaque crane
#

Honestly, maybe? What discs are they

chilly condor
#

Not sure exactly it was a MSI motherboard labelled as Intel motherboard drivers.

#

Just trying to find it now

#

Ahh nevermind.. it was for my old PC which also had a MSI motherboard but a much older model.

opaque crane
#

ah

#

Okay, well hope you can get those internet drivers on the usb soon 🤞

chilly condor
#

Yes im going to go back to the original idea and try to get a laptop I can borrow from my friend so i will be back later 🙂

chilly condor
opaque crane
#

LAN drivers

#

Make sure you got that USB stick also

chilly condor
#

Which USB the one with the windows backup you mean?

opaque crane
#

Any USB will work yea

chilly condor
#

Ah ok you mean just to transfer the installer files over ? As I have a portable hard drive I used for all my individual files and stuff so can I just use that ?

opaque crane
#

You get a zip with drivers in, transfer the driver over to the PC and install it

chilly condor
#

Ok thanks I will try that when I get the laptop and let you know how it goes.

chilly condor
#

Ok drivers are reinstalling now but immediately the network seems to be back online so it seems to be working again now thank you so much for all your help.
Honestly I made this post and I was 99% certain nobody could do anything and I would have to wait until Tuesday when Cyberpower support opened up again and they would have to arrange for the PC to be sent off for repairs.
