Hi everyone

Looking for some advice with a build for a PC which will be used for game development. I will be working with the GTA game series for this, and therefore will require a powerful machine. My budget for this project is 2-3k GBP.

Please could anyone help with providing advice as to AMD/Intel and configuration wise?

Thanks

Do you need a monitor or anything or just the PC, if you have a monitor what resolution do you play at?

Just the PC

I have a 1080p monitor at the moment but will be using a 4K monitor in the future

Thank you so much everyone

Do you have any advice as to whether AMD or Intel would work best?

what development programs are you using?

#

7800x3D is the best raw gaming performance CPU

#

Intel is close but is a bit of an all rounder

It will be a mix, from 3d rendering, IDEs, testing etc

#

Will also likely be used for video edting

is it for professional purposes or hobby?

so CPU wise

14900K is probably king - an arguement could be made for 7950x as it runs a bit cooler I believe. The 14900k is know to be warm (its pefectly functional but it can get toasty)

Ah I see, I think the 14900k will be the best best for all round usage then

Thank you to everyone for your help 😄
