#Does anyone have any suggestions for pre-built, or customised CyberBuildPCs (1000 pounds)

I have been looking at the Genshin Ultra PC on the website. I have mostly kept it the same but I have changed the following:

  • CPU: now is AMD Ryzen 5 5600X - 6-Core 3.70GHz, 4.6GHz Turbo - 32MB L3 Cache Processor, Pro OC Compatible (No On-board Graphics) [+92]
  • MOTHERBOARD: now is MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK: ATX w/ RGB, USB 3.2, 2x M.2 [+85]
  • CPU COOLING: now is Cooler Master Hyper 212 Air Cooler
  • GRAPHICS CARD: now is MSI Geforce RTX 3060 - 12GB GDDR6

Please tell me if I should change anything that I have done. Also open to any other suggestions for customised or pre-built PC's. Thanks!

I customised some parts though so look at the main post

serene rivet
#

i mean i dont see a problem with it

#

i recently upgraded to the 5600x cpu and its absolutely amazing, handles everything im running like a beast.

serene bridge
#

Yeah Im using an ethernet right now

#

Thanks a lot for the advice

#

You think I should just go for how I have customised it then?

crisp folio
#

whats your max budget

serene bridge
#

1000 pounds

#

including vat

crisp folio
#

what are you wanting to use the system for?

serene bridge
#

gaming

#

mostly

crisp folio
#

alright and how much storage do you want?

serene bridge
#

1tb should be fine i think

crisp folio
#

alright gimme a sec and I'll see what I can work out

serene bridge
#

ok

#

by the way I have customised some parts

#

look at the main post

crisp folio
#

is the £1000 a hard budget or could you push for 1.1 or 1.2?

serene bridge
#

1.1 maybe but not any higher

dull geyserBOT
#

cprgbglitch :tada: Congrats @serene bridge, you levelled up to 1! :tada: cprgbglitch

serene bridge
#

currently including vat it is 1074 pounds

#

so I cant go much higher

crisp folio
#

I saw above you're using ethernet at the moment, you planning on using ethernet on the new system?

serene bridge
#

yeah I think so

#

I might add a wifi card anyway im not sure

This has,

  • Lancool 216 case, two massive 160mm fans at the front, doubled with a 360mm CPU cooler for your 5600X.
  • 4060 graphics card getting you into the 40 series for slightly better performance
  • 2TB of NVMe storage to give you a little more breathing room for storage
  • 16GB of DDR4 3200mhz RAM

#

Alright thanks

#

So you think this one better than my one on main post?

crisp folio
#

This one has a 4060, a AIO for CPU cooling that will do you for any upgrades, more storage, same CPU

#

and a very fan-tastic case

serene bridge
#

ohh ok

#

thanks

#

oh and do motherboards really matter?

#

because im not sure if I should upgrade the lian li one

#

for 62 pounds

crisp folio
#

Egh, they are important, but for the price point, I would stick with the m-atx one, it has your PCIE 4, 2x M.2 connectors, USB 3.2 , If you can stretch to the MSI MAG motherboard, you can if you wish, and it would potentially provide more than the gigabyte

#

without looking into it too deep, the m-atx has everything you'd need for your standard system at the price

serene bridge
#

ok thanks

#

oh and one more thing do you think the cooler master hyper 212 air cooler is good enough for a 5600x

#

?

crisp folio
#

An air cooler would be good enough, but for longevity and future upgrades, I'd recommend an AIO 100%

serene bridge
#

ohh ok

crisp folio
#

It just keeps temperatures lower and allows for a happier CPU

serene bridge
#

ah ok

#

do you think that 4x120mm fans are better or 2x160mm?

dull geyserBOT
#

cprgbglitch :tada: Congrats @serene bridge, you levelled up to 2! :tada: cprgbglitch

crisp folio
#

Honestly the 2x 160mm fans at the front of that case are brilliant from what I've heard, paired with a AIO that fills the top of the case, you'd have a fully kitted case fan wise

serene bridge
#

ok sure

serene bridge
#

is the case a lot more expensive? im not sure if I can stretch it that far

stiff sierra
#

Hold on Mudkip

crisp folio
#

It was something like £29 more than the one without fans

#

I don't know why we are giving him that system when there is this

crisp folio
#

tru, a lil downgrade but price is better

stiff sierra
#

4060ti!

serene bridge
#

I customised

#

I dont know if I should get the li lian one though

stiff sierra
#

No that one has a 3060, Mudkips has a 4060 and that one has a 4060ti

#

Best gaming performance? That 4060ti one

serene bridge
#

ohh

#

is it really big difference?

stiff sierra
#

Yes

serene bridge
#

oh wow ok

#

do you think I should upgrade the gpu then instead of the motherboard?

#

right now it is the msi mag one

stiff sierra
#

Motherboard has no performance difference

#

For this scenario

serene bridge
#

oh ok

#

4060 ti is really expensive though...

#

its like 104 pounds more

stiff sierra
#

Just get that system

serene bridge
#

oh yeah

#

ok

this system

#

ok

serene bridge
#

do you guys think 1tb of storage is enough for gaming?

wheat breach
#

Nope

#

Depends how many games but that'd get full quickly

crisp folio
#

1TB will vanish very quickly if you play any modern games

wheat breach
#

COD is like 150GB +

#

GTA 100+ GB

stiff sierra
#

Depends on the person!

#

I have used only 1.4TB

serene bridge
#

ok thanks

#

and also do I need cpu overclocking?

stiff sierra
#

Nope

serene bridge
#

will i need extra fans if I have got the li lian case? (it has got 2x160mm fans)

crisp folio
#

if you got the 360mm AIO, you won't need any fans

stiff sierra
#

You shouldn't need extra
