In terms of fans, the extra 3 will help. The case comes with 3 which will be front mounted, and the 3 extra you have selected will be used at the top and back.

Overall, its a really good pc and will function fine

orchid pine
#

I'd ideally say go for an AIO if the budget allows it but air coolers work

cedar tree
#

Yeah, you could make a couple changes. But ultimately the pc you built will work fine

#

Its mainly like “future proofing” with a better motherboard/power supply

#

The 14600k has a lot of head room, so you could upgrade your gpu on its own, if you had a higher wattage power supply (just as an example)

orchid pine
#

I normally go for a minimum of 850W in builds, just for that wiggle room for upgrades

cedar tree
#

Obviously when i say upgrade gpu, i just mean in the future

placid kettle
#

The games i play aren't super intesive so i feel it might be perfect for a long time! Though i may consider slapping an AIO on as you say.

placid kettle
#

my budget is about £1500 really so i could make it work

cedar tree
#

Yeah, an aio, motherboard and psu upgrade wouldn’t cost much at all

#

Only reason im suggesting it, is from personal experience. I went with a budget psu and motherboard and regret it, wish I spent the extra ££ and then it would’ve been a lot easier to upgrade

placid kettle
#

What would be a good upgrade for this build in your opinon?

placid kettle
#

i buy something this expensive once every decade so always best to go the extra mile when you can lol

ah try that

Thats it 👍

#

Definitely a hard one

#

Keeps going over budget, but i personally can’t figure out which upgrade is best kek

hollow grotto
#

14600k with an air cooler?

cedar tree
#

Ultimately i think the psu is only worth upgrading if you upgrade the motherboard also. But theyre the hardest to do at a later date

placid kettle
#

yeh id rather avoid doing those jobs myself hahaha

#

i could stretch to 1600

#

budget isnt a huge concern, just wanted to keep it low if possible really but i dont mind stretching extra

cedar tree
#

Definitely possible with 1600

Removed the wifi card because the motherboard comes with built in wifi. Went with an 850w psu (modular also) and then went woth an MSI AIO

#

Its upto you if you want to keep the 3 extra corsair fans and ill explain why

#

If you keep them, then they’ll take the fans that come with the MSI aio off, and use your corsair ones instead (2 on the aio, and then 1 at the back)

But if you remove the extra corsair fans, the aio comes with 2. And then cyberpower will add in an extra black fan at the back (for free)

#

Keeping the fans makes it more uniform rather than having 2 types. But ultimately if you went with 2 types, it’ll still be configured to work

placid kettle
#

eh i may keep them just for the uniformity haha, i think it'd bug me otherwise! kekdog

cedar tree

Sounds like a plan kek everything should be all good now. And n the event you want to upgrade, you have a few upgrade paths available 👍

Don't know, but for the performance uplift spend £25 + VAT for a 13700KF

#

The 14600k is realistically not going to beat that at all

cedar tree
#

Simply because it’s new gen. Prices are more but as long as it provides the performance they want and is within budget, then it’s fine

wide nexus
#

New gen always seems to be safer anyway. It was basically a V2 to 13th gen ironing out any creases

For example, we have a new generation GPU in here, way better than a 6700xt (new gen + tier up) you can do the benchmarks. The Lancool 216 is a stunning case with some beautiful fans in there, and the 360MM will do a fantastic job at cooling. The 13600KF isn't the latest generation but it's pretty damn close to the 14600k, and for the huge increase in performance, you might want to go 7800xt.

#

For strictly gaming, this rig smashes it.
