All good then
Don't worry about it HOWEVER! make sure that 16pin is in good
I'll send over a video
Sweet, thanks
In this video I go into detail of the proper installation of the 3 plug, 4 plug, and the atx 3.0/corsair/ cable mod cable, and what you can do to make sure you wont have any issues. This is the first , last, and only4090 cable install you will ever need!
Gamers nexus video explaining the source of cable failure :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
Don't want no melty bois
Ha yea I watched that yesterday!
Awesome!
It’s going to be tight for space
Whats your case of choice?
Hm
It’s a big case, Corsair 680x
RM850x
I know it’s on the edge but I have a stock 5900x so should be ok. Prob upgrade to something beefier
I think you are okay
Just those spikes I am worried about
You got the type 4 12vhpwr native?
No idea on that….
The CPUK cable management guy had a bad day when they built mine
It’s a birds nest in there
what the hell
That’s why I’ve never sorted it 😂 plus I’m always scared of breaking stuff
That makes me feel better about mine
When you were asking about the bent looking part…
One end of the cable is 6+2
Is that right?
But looks like an 8pin. Then it forks off into an actual 6+2
Not too sure about that graphics card in particular, but the 8 pin (6+2) is the power cable for the GPU
Thats normal 🙂
Just to differentiate 6 pin cards + 8 pin cards so kinda genius if you ask me
Alright, I’m ready to go. Just need Amazon to get a move on
What do I do?! Are there slimmer fans than the LL120?
I could mount fans to the bottom maybe?
What case are you using? Trying to think of options for you
Yeah
Corsair 680x
It’s a huge case, I actually hate it cos it’s so big 😂
Jeez and a 4090 doesn't fit in it?
If you bought the GPU and still able to return it, you could alternatively get one of those AIO GPUs
Pricey
A Lancool 216 is cheaper
😂 ooooo noo
or.. fun fact, Phanteks NV7 supports up to 450mm GPU clearance 😉
tryna convert people to that beauty
New case is gonna be cheaper. It means I’ll have to rebuild the whole thing, something I’ve never done before 😬
Yea
*Then I believe you could send it to Cyberpower and they'd do it for you **potentially ***
potentially...
Nah they will do it
just gotta ship it to them
If its under 2 years you get £10 + VAT in charge (insurance too)
For delivery
I'm not too glued up on them yet, but yeah from what I've heard they'll be able to do it for you
Mudkip 😂
hey
It’s 3 years old now. Got it at 3080 launch. I’m sure they’ll love me sending it to them 😂
I am the worst customer for sure
Gotta learn to build it at some point I guess
Honestly, taking parts from one case to another, it's not as difficult as, lets say, building a PC from scratch, as the parts are all "prepared" you just gotta put them in
Putting them in is the nightmare
and the cable management...
The preperation is the easiest
That’s what I’m thinking. Cpu, motherboard is already done….
its just like a big lego
Except...
Oh no here he goes...
First thing is to try and mount the fans to the bottom of the case
Yea it won’t be ideal but might see me through until I can get another case. I wish we had something like microcentre, I could pick up a case tomorrow
I never thought a massive case like the 680x would... run out of room
Tell me about it
Older cases never thought the day would come when GPUs would become longer than 250mm
I guess all that extra room is for "hiding the power supply"
Wait... all that extra room... and they didn't cable manage correctly?
Nope
You could fit an entire computer back there!
but...
Tbh I never checked it. Only last year I opened it up and was like, OH.
Erase it from memory 😂
Was this about the sata cables?
I think you made a thread here a while ago
I’d opened it up before that but yea the sata was me. Legend for helping on that
Ah 🙏 No worries
As you know I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to the actual build stuff
Its fine
Most people here are so thats why they buy prebuilts
not everyone likes wasting hours on trying to solve stuff
100%, I’d rather pay the money and have the pros do it
I'm here because I'd rather not have leaking water loops on my own hands 💀
I upgraded my GPU on my last rig - 2060 > 1080ti but that was easy. Switched it out and done
2060 was crap
Hmm
