Full system specs please
If it happens again let us know
@steel coral nothings wrong with my Ram is there
As the blue screen only happened once with that error.
That’s fine thanks
Hi I was playing Five M and I have not got a blue screen and it said KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILUR
:tada: Congrats @mellow narwhal, you levelled up to 4! :tada:
Iirc that points to windows being the issue
Could be a ram issue that one have you tried a memtest?
No ?
:one: Download MemTest86 using the link below.
:two: Open the zip file you downloaded and run ImageUSB
:three: Click 'Extract', choose a File Location then click 'Extract' again.
:four: Run ImageUSB from the File Explorer windows which just opened and select your USB stick from the list.
:five: Click the Write button, ensuring that any files on your USB stick that you would like to keep are backed up.
:six: Shut down the PC you are going to be testing, insert the USB stick and press the following key while your PC is turning on, depending on your motherboard:
ASUS/ROG: F8
Aorus/Gigabyte: F12
MSI/ASRock/Cyberpower: F11
Then select your USB Drive from the list and press Enter.
:seven: Wait for the 10 second timer to finish and the test will begin.
:exclamation: If MemTest86 picks up an error, or the test has finished (It will stop automatically), let us know.
After making a MemTest86 USB, you will notice that your USB will have much less capacity. To fix this, reopen the ImageUSB tool, select Reformat USB drive under Step 2, then click Write again.
Try this or use Windows Memory Diagnostic which is built in to windows
MemTest is better though
No worries thanks
Np hopefully it'll find an error so it can be an easy fix of just replacing the RAM 🙏
Hey the second step where it says click run it takes me to this page ?
Press write
It’s saying no valid file shall I extract them to my usb stick ?
?
@steel coral
I have never used the tool myself - I don't really know
👍 should tell you anyways
That’s fine
Hi I ran the memory diagnostic tool
And it showed that it Detected hardware issues
@tame crane
How do I do that ?
What motherboard do you have?
Oh Gigabyte
Turn PC off, then turn it on and spam Del key
Gigabyte H610M H: m-ATX w/, USB 3.2, 1x M.2
Yep do what he said
Disable XMP
👍
:tada: Congrats @mellow narwhal, you levelled up to 5! :tada:
You'll probs want to run the memory test again see if the error still persists
So shall I save and exit ?
if still persists then take one of your RAM sticks out, do the test again and try and figure out which stick is the faulty one
Aye ok
yeh
Ok
I don’t really want to touch any of the components in my PC in case it voids the warranty ?
@tame crane
You'd have to contact CyberPower tell them everything you've done and tell them a mem test found issues they'll probs RMA the machine
RAM is very easy to take out and put back in though and will only void warranty if you somehow damage it
Yes that’s why I don’t really want to take it out as I’m new to this ?
@tame crane it was the memory diagnostic test I did does that tell you everything that fails ?
It says if your RAM has problems but not sure if it says which stick it is specifically
As I’ve disabled xmp and ran diagnostic test if doesn’t say there’s a problem what do I do put it back on or leave it disabled ?
@tame crane
soz just eating
That’s fine 😉
If you still get errors then turn XMP back on and contact CP
As likely you've got a faulty stick
Are you still within warranty?
2 years parts / 5 years labour I think it is
I’ve only had this for a week
Gold warranty it’s got
@tame crane
It was working perfectly fine up and till it started getting blue screens
It’s now saying it hasn’t detected any errors ?
Yea it could be up to the motherboard cpu or ram at this point then
So should I contact CP tomorrow and let them know
Should I put the XMP back on
@steel coral
No
