#Over clocking RAM

I want to over clock my RAM but I've never done it before. I have looked up some information from the Corseair official website and know that I cannot go no more than 1.4V (that's a good thing for me to learn) .

I want to increase the voltage from 1.2v to 1.3v for now as I read that putting it too high too quickly might cause instability issues.

System Memory Multiplyer I have currently left on "Auto" that is 21.33.
I have left everything else as "Auto" or as it already is by default in my BIOS.

I currently HAVEN'T made any changes to my RAM settings as I don't want to end up with a non functional PC.

Here are some images of my RAM and PC specs.

Just turn xmp on

That I already know, but I don't know what System Memory Multiplyer it should be set to for my RAM and I don't know if I should just set it right to 1.4v right away or just go up by one volt.

XMP sets voltage automatically

That's odd, because I can change it for my RAM settings if I type something on the selected row.

Voltage is set to "Auto" but would it be better if I set it to 1.4v so it's not currently not over volting?

No, Auto sets it to what it needs, usually XMP is 1.3 or thereabouts

CPU-Z shows 1.5v

GTA V is now stuttering. What I'm currently doing is running Prime95 to stress test my RAM.

After a 2 hour test, everything seems to be fine.

GTAV runs on an old engine and is not made for high end systems

#

I've heard anything over 150 fps or so stutters

#

Unless they've fixed that now

Oh that’s strange then

Yeah, gta stutters at anything above 140ish fps

#

The game engine just can’t handle it

#

If you cap it to below that (around 120) then the stuttering should stop
