Hey all,

Received my order from Cyberpower today, but unfortunately from unboxing and connecting the system's performance has been extremely slow, ie. unusable to the point of boots taking a couple of minutes.

One thing I have noticed is the processor speed in the bios is set to 900Mhz, not sure if this is indicative of a problem, picture attached.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

That is certainly weird. Shouldn't be indicative of any bad component - I would reset the bios to factory settings and enable xmp with secure boot + tpm

Thanks - reset bios and applied these settings but unfortunately still have the bad performance (ie. file explorer taking 15 or so seconds to open)

what in the world

#

@proven radish would you know about this

#

I wouldn't know and I would contact support tbh

Mind me asking what's strange? 😄

I have an i5, your i9 11900kf should be running above that

#

3.5GHZ base is the i9

astral nebula
#

ah I see!

lilac basalt
#

I would usually only see that low in laptops, maybe windows has a power plan option?

lilac basalt
astral nebula

just changed the power plan options, think it must be more fundamental as it hasn't changed much

yeah bios all reset

Might sound stupid. But have you tried a restart?

astral nebula
#

not at all - I have yes

arctic shoal
#

Ah poop

#

The reason for the sluggishness is definitely because it’s running at 0.18

astral nebula
#

had the system off multiple times, I could tell something was wrong during windows setup as the animations were lagging tbh

#

ie straight out the box

Happened to me once. Locked at an extremely low frequency and restarting it fixed it

I’d definitely email support and see what they say

lilac basalt

maybe "restart" it because that does a full power cycle

shutting it down may not do the same thing
