I’ve connected my new PC up to my monitor via HDMI however I am trying to find the other cables. But neither port works. Any ideas?

That's the VGA LED which means it could be something to do with the graphics card, sometimes it can come loose during shipping as they're quite heavy
If you follow this guide here, it shows you how to reseat it which should hopefully fix it

Ah that's unusual, if it wasn't detecting your monitor then it can also cause that light to come on
Sometimes I believe it can get upset if your monitor isn't switched on before you boot up your PC, but I would see how it goes, hopefully its all good now

Ahh yeah since you ordered without windows I think you'll have to get the wifi drivers installed off the net, unless they are on the USB drive that comes with the board

The light on the motherboard is still on. It’s like a dull green. When it gets switched in, it’s a bright white.

Im assuming you installed Windows Home edition, or selected Windows home when you were installing it?

If you're transferring it from an old PC, you might need to unlink your old one from your Microsoft account first. You also can only transfer over retail licences, if its an OEM licence its specific to that PC and can't be transferred
Could also try the activation troubleshooter and see if its able to pick up your licence

If you run slmgr /dli in a command prompt window, it should pop up a window saying if its OEM or Retail, but yeah its one licence per PC unfortunately

Just coming back to this chat... I do worry there's an issue with the GPU HDMI port. I have now got my Display port which is working great, however when I connect my Dell via the HDMI, it no longer works! Could there be a fault with the HDMI port?

If it is faulty, it’ll be covered in full so don’t worry too much. Just a bit of a nuisance as MSI’s production is usually spot on

You will be pleased to hear it might not be the GPU… MIGHT NOT. It can handle 1 monitor but connecting 2 monitors doesn’t work!!! Even with 2 displayport cables. So it doesn’t look like a port problem after all!!!
