The emptiness represents the missing childhood that the super soldiers have, since they were raised from the ground up to become the perfect super soldier. They had no childhood. Just training the body and mind. All in the name of protecting the human race from greater threats. The super soldiers have no name, no identity, they are only known by numbers (ss-[insert number here]). Their social life practically doesn't exist. They are lonely. Unforgiving. Relentless. Brutal. Their only skills are killing and following orders. They're like zombies, wait for orders. Literal tournaments hosted by their governments to fight to the death in an arena for human entertainment.
