It’s ironic that in a developer community, people judge a book by its cover. I spent 4 months coding complex logic, DataStores, and systems from scratch—the actual 'Engine' of the game. If you value a 1-minute drawing over 120 days of pure scripting, then you’re looking at the wrong things

It only takes thirty seconds to defecate on top of a five star meal. The cover is how we're SUPPOSED to judge if we want to play a game, and it's SUPPOSED to represent your game. AI art harms real creators whether it's in the creation or just the cover. You've made a value statement that you don't care about the soul of your thumbnail, so why would I expect you to care about the soul of your code?

Comparing 4 months of complex scripting to a 30-second action is a wild lack of logic. As a developer, I spent my time on things that actually matter for the player: security, data saving, and fair mechanics. If you think a developer's soul is in a picture and not in the thousands of lines of code that make the game playable, then you don't understand game development. My priority was the 'Body' of the game; the thumbnail is just the 'Clothes'. Judge the game when you play it, or don't judge at all

Honestly I came here looking for a community of fellow developers to grow with, but all I found was a group of people who enjoy tearing others down You joke about 4 months wasted like it’s nothing, but those months were filled with late nights, learning and genuine passion. It’s sad that in a world where we should support each other you choose to be the reason someone might stop creating I thought being a developer was about building things not destroying people's spirits. Enjoy your laughs, I hope you never have to feel the way you're making me feel right now 😔
