Please discuss this idea civilly, don't forget to vote on this idea in #📝︱server-suggestions!
the for hire channel says only people with skillroles though so thats conflicting plus a lot of scams are from people who post there w. out skillroles
@slender pasture don’t be lazy just do it. Don’t you see, people agree with it
Fr, generally people can fall in AI works from people that dont have done ranking process
dont command me im not ur dog
its a HUGE change that im not gonna do just cuz u told me to
it may be put into staff polls and then we may consider
bro the rest of the server didnt do shit
just change the permissions takes 2 minutes
Yeah that
😭 I didn’t mean to dude calm down
and then we'll get 100s of tickets about why people cant post in the marketplace and they wont be happy
and thousands will leave cuz they only use the marketplace
and we just launched one change to the marketplace, launching another right after is outright stupid
i never said its difficult to do permission wise
but you dont see the consequences of doing it at all
youre forgetting that this change will affect 120000 people, and you think thats fine because 14 of you voted for it
you need to realize that none of yalls opinions have the value of 10000 people each
crazy bro that if they are posting in the marketplace they cant apply for a skillrole
90% of the people who post there are bots and won’t complain
plus tons of people get scammed daily. so what it comes down to is if you care more about members or the safety of them
additionally for some skillranks, the distance of rank 1 to rank 2 is disproportionate, with getting rank 1 taking weeks, rank 2 takes months-years. its not fair for people without a skillrank to post there because then rank 1 is essentially useless
it is also safe to assume that most are bots bc none voted no on this suggestion. if you can’t get rank 1 on your skill, you shouldn’t do commissions, period. it doesn’t matter about complaints or member counts, but down to how many scams occur from this issue
or maybe they dont want to?
it takes weeks to do nowadays
no i dont think so lol
probably under 1% are
just cuz ppl copy paste the same things doesnt mean theyre bots
im sure you know how "easy" it is to make a self bot
and you think skill roles will magically fix this yeah?
OR most people only use the marketplace and not the server suggestions channel that only 20 of you read
your "safe to assume" assumption is horrible
im not saying there arent bots in this server, im sure there are thousands of them, but im also sure that those bots didnt know about the lvl 5 requirement and never posted
thats the tens of thousands of dead accounts here (and in every other big server)
what data did you use to reach this conclusion
which channel allows people who just need to phone number verify easily offer a risky service. for hire is based on trust since you normally have to pay 50% upfront
users there can just put work that was taken by other users and send them there without any past checks
users who actually earned a skill rank should only get access to the channel, just like the channel topic says
thats my take tbh, you have valid points aswell
users can also put work that was taken by other users in a ranking ticket
and ranking is already slow as fuck
thats a fair point
but ranking experts can help to determine that, with it then falling on them to find that
just leaving the most important channel for everyone who has a phone number attached is vulnerable
