Cant swim in water

For some reason the water I have in my game used to be just fine but randomly made it so people cant swim in the water. When you go into the water you just swim on the surface of the water without being able to go down at all and when going forward you like skid across the water instead of swimming smoothly, I have no idea what changed or happened for this to happen but idk what to change to fix it.

Is it the default terrain water

It should be, I insterted it using the terrain editor tool

do you have any scripts that deal with terrain/humanoid states?

uhh, I have a velocity changing script to emulate gravity so you float up a certain area and then there is a invisible box at the top to reset your velocity to normal but it doenst activate that script unless you walk into a specific area

it's likely activating on its own through some other script or smth

try turning off enabled

see if that fixes it

now to figure out why it messes with the swimming
