this is honestly so impressive. is this blender or solely roblox studio? @river ginkgo
solely studio for the most part!
a very small percentage of the assets were from a friend who i assume created them on blender, but i could have most likely done the entire thing on studio solely, i just thought they added a nice touch!
this is very, incredibly impressive. so the assets that werent from a friend were solely made of parts?
I'm currently struggling with building more organized and full builds such as these since im new to building but seeing this keeps me hopeful honestly.
the fact you used studio and it turned out this good is very cool
for the build itself did you sketch it out as well beforehand?
for this particular one, i loosely used a reference as i didn't really have any inspiration! i ended up taking pretty much full creative freedom though LOL, here was the ref!
that is so cool man. if you dont mind me asking so that i can learn more, how exactly do you go about starting a build like this? do you begin by sketching and then building the room out in parts?
its clear youre very creative so i commend you for that, the build is very impressive.
i usually start with the centerpiece, or something big/complicated, for me in this build that was the archway with the draped curtains in the back, and then i slowly built off of that. helps to get textures beforehand though, textures can reeally elevate a build! i built the archway, the walls, then the window as it was fairly similar to the archway, and it slowly all fell together.
starting with the most complicated thing for me especially ends up helping with my stamina, if i procrastinate it and do all of the walls first i know i'll end up getting lazy and not finishing it.
thank you so much!
so in terms of units and how large the build will be, you base that off of each thing you build? i find that when i try to build off reference trying to scale out the entire building is difficult. i feel as if there is no standard for it.
of course! its very impressive and gives me a lot of hope that hopefully i can get to that point in studios one day.
all in 4 hours is fire
honestly when i started out a few years back i always made things wayyy too big and i still sometimes do! a tiny little cheat that ive learnt overtime is that if you build something like, for example, the archway, i usually build it without size in mind, and then i'll bring a roblox rig to it when i'm finished. if its too big i'll group the archway, and then just scale it down to 0.9, 0.8 etc until i find a natural fitting scale. i like to make my builds as compact as i can, because i like the cozy feel to things!
if you build the big things first its uaully easier to then build around those things. when i have a HUGE project though, like a house, i usually make a floorplan and sometimes scale that down as i go.
interesting, ill have to try making a floor plan for my build. i like your concept of building specific parts of the build youre making rather than trying to build the whole area first. in that way you kind of keep yourself from being burnt out/overwhelmed. im gonna have to focus on doing that myself
well anyways the build is very impressive and hopefully i can see more of your work in the future. thank you and great job

Wtf 😭 I thought this was straight out of Blender ur crazy talented
