sounds like a ton of work for mods for no real reason
i thought we loved slave labor here
only in the marketplace
there's about 100 help posts created every day
a good chunk of them are actually helped
which means there'd be (around 30-40) tickets created daily
for merits
doesn't sound very fun
and many times that many questions asked in all the chats
the mods randomly pick people that are good throughout the week and give merit
idk
why? isn't merit only meaningful in the marketplace? what does being helpful have to do with being a good employee?
it benefits them if they want to be hired, which is the sole purpose of the marketplace
and you have to be hired to become a employee
merit makes you stick out more
and tbh sticking out by earning merit (only obtainable by earning clients) can push newbies down so that they will never be eligible for credit
but merit is supposed to mean you're a good employee, which has nothing to do with being helpful
if you are a scripter it can show that you understand the topic and can help others (you know the subject off the top of your head)
knowing the topic is what skill ranks are for
i guess your right
