If somebody corrects you with reasonable pronouns and you continue to use wrong pronouns, that's the only situation that is problematic IMO
nobody ever actually checks pronouns or they'd see that I don't have pronouns and go by nouns

I believe that claim was saying that most people that go by specific pronouns choose reasonable ones (and that the few that try to force people to say crazy things are not typical)
eh, I think prescribing what others can care about is a dangerous game. I generally don't care about what words (not just pronouns) other people use, but if they're intentionally trying to be hurtful it is a problem. If somebody is ignoring your reasonable requests for how they refer to you, that's intentionally trying to be hurtful (or trolling or whatever, tomato tomato)
