im trying to make it so the item will go out of the player's backpack and it will be placed on the position of the placement part

Well if you have something selected then it's inside the char, not inside the backpack

you'll have to first check in which one the sword is located. Also, local scripts don't always run, they need to get replicated to the player. Easiest way of doing this is placing the script inside starterplayerscripts or startercharacterscripts
