Really had to think about it lol
I'm tired of ChatGPT users coming into #📜︱scripting whining about their script not using when they didn't make, nor understand it. And in SOME cases they send the script, and they leave out the fact that they didn't even make it
It's impossible to help someone who can't even script the thing they wanna make, too
If it is, it's INCREDIBLY long and frustrating
I hope they actually add this 🙏
And ends up helping nobody, because the ChatGPT user STILL doesn't understand what they did wrong, the changes, and how to avoid them
And all we get in return isn't the satisfaction of helping someone, but frustrated glee at the fact the person who doesn't even understand what they're doing in the slightest left
It'll only result in arguments
There's NO actual scripter who enjoys "helping" people who use ChatGPT, they only help them to make them shut up
fr
Exactly, and what's "better", like what Geter Priffin said, they usually don't listen, and they're annoyingly stubborn. What's even the point of helping them, anyways? We know they'll just go back to using ChatGPT to get their non-solutions, so they're just harmful in #📜︱scripting
And also, people may try to learn off them too
so they could also hurt the newcomers
Yeah, they may get to like S1, and since S1's likely are inclined to being listened to be new users since they have a scripter role, they could be told to "Use ChatGPT to make scripts for you", rather than the proper use, as a tool. So then we have another person down the cycle of reliance on the unreliable
ong
They would just give the improper information that just ends up hurting everyone who decides to take it as a bigger person's opinion or something
They need to get a role that prohibits them from sending messages in #📜︱scripting, #1020374354867007528, and #📜︱scripting-help-classic, since they can't even help help themselves, and nobody will enjoy "helping" them
I was thinking mainly the creation channels
And, they can even get S2 by using ChatGPT to generate like half the script in specific ways, then they'll REALLY be doing harm
Since ChatGPT is usually Scrpting, I feel like it should be all scripting related things
True
In Creations and in the help channels
Prohibited from sending messages UNTIL they can prove they can actually script themselves without relying on ChatGPT
It's different than relying on Google and DevForum, while still bad, the people there actually KNOW what they're doing
I think they could have a badge like a caution symbol for the channel blacklist role
Yea
Become a fuckin' Pariah
fr
why does the example have to be scr*pting
I Like the idea but not the example 9/10
could’ve been 10/10
Did you seriously just censor "scripting"?
yes
We're not THAT bad bruh
Yes you are “THAT” bad
Smh
Every single one of you
People call the channel the worst channel in the entire server but they're just haters
#📜︱scripting Is a peaceful, not toxic place
Unless you are called Dodman531 then you have an exception
Every single scr*pter in existence:
Yeah and nikocado avocado is skinny
We're only hostile when people deserve it
Also posting ai generated stuff and claiming you made it is ban worthy btw
you lie
Bs lmao
paid actors
We all have a bit of racism in us
Huh
I don't think making a blacklist for skill channels is the smartest thing cuz it's the main reason people join for
Also people change so yea
Long suggestion does not mean good suggestion
Also hiring outside of markeplace still blacklists them from marketplace
Now about chat gpt
Cry about it lol
in most skil channel any ai or free models does not help
making seperate blist for each channel is stupid
Also yes you can report thru tickets
With proof obv
Blacklisting people from creations channels in RSC is like Microsoft banning individuals from using Windows. It's an integral part of the server that gives significant reason for people to be here. People will be moderated instead of their experience being crippled in a way where they might as well just be banned from the server entirely
We still want a solution for the people who come into the channels trying to get a solution for something they don't even uderstand or didn't even make in the first place, and "just deal with it", isn't exactly a solution imo
Okay so essentially your solution is to just "deal with it"
yes
Even though that solves nothing and is kinda
Just an excuse
But alright, it doesn't exactly find middleground or explain how the thing desired isn't viable
we are just creating unwated solutions for the smallest problems
Accomplishes nothing besides "haha lol my input is worthless"
yes
I'm talking about you
we cant do shit without hitting major roadblocks
this suggest is more worthless then me writing 100 line long paragrah why this idea is shit
You DO realize I'm saying the only thing your input is, by saying "just deal with it", is worthless input?
Because shit input isn't shit when the suggestion is bad, factual
Since shit somehow isn't shit for certain situations
as chogi said
might as well ban the people
but thats more shit
so let it be
How will they even be "moderated"?
if you can bring a good idea without any major roadblocks then we can see
Can't you just say you need to actually make the thing to request help over it? (Asking chatGPT to make an entire script and then being perplexed on why it doesn't work for shit)
If they can't be blacklisted atleast just SOMETHING to where people can't want help for something they used AI to generate
only thing you can do is give verbal warn or just ignore people who do this shit
ignore bro
how hard is it
Very.
or give a verbal warn
The mods never glance in the cesspool of #📜︱scripting, also not viable
if we get sensitive and fucking start warning people on this shit then its our loss only
Whatever I'ma do something actually productive
there are like fucking 40 channels + tickets
how much can 10 mods even do
Like it's my fault for them not having enough mods for a large server
The moderation for certain channels, like #📜︱scripting sucks, it's a factual statement that you can't refute
