I don't understand what you are suggesting 🔥
i understand it.....
maybe a good idea
It will be hard work if it is accepted
.
@spare jackal i will rewrite your message in a more understandable and detailed way.
Oki
If I understand correctly, the suggestion of Zavius is to create a website that will be the RSC marketplace.
This site only accepts people who have lvl 5+ and let posts only people who have level 10+
Then when you click on the asset you are interested in, you can see the price, description, etc... Like our marketplace we have now. You can decide whether to contact the user in DM on discord or whether to buy the asset directly through some link or always in DM.
In addition, on the asset page there will be a "Report" button.
This way people can report any scams or stolen models.
The report request will then be analyzed by marketplace mods or ticket mods
This would lead to a much more orderly marketplace which may need less controls by marketplace mods, which will not fail, however, to make the existing rules in our marketplace
.
.
@spare jackal was that what you meant?
if yes i think that is a good idea
ok
@spring storm that's for you
.
@ember sinew look a really nice idea.
what do you think about it?
seems cool, but is it worth putting our resources into it?
Well… it will definelty reduce the amount of work you have to do in the future
Seeing as all rule breaking posts will be “moderated” by users
(Report bouton should also be available to users only lvl 10 and above in my opinion)
We could ask the event team (and maybe scam) to look into it
(They are lonely and bored 🔥)
Make dev team?
I actually thought about this, but that would mean we would need to divide up our already limited resources even more
Another way to do it is add more mods, but more mods = more training = more incompetence = more problems
Simplified: more mods = more problems
Yeah, that's not currently possible
Yes…
We had 0 good applicants for the RSC bot dev team, so the odds of this happening are near zero. Hate to break it to you.
Also, a dev team would need a head, and quite frankly nobody who is currently in the dev team (other than the current heads) is suitable to be a dpt head
Especially not Don 🤮
Bozo
Users will help us discover free/stolen work posts and scam posts
But at the same time marketplace mods will check that there are no posts that break the classic rules of the marketplace
I am a volunteer to create the website, and chgi can create a command to @golden breach for the button report
Ask chogi first
Chogi is currently the main one coding and maintaining rscbot
wanna collaborate 🙂
Again, we really don't have the resources for it
What resources
.-.
It will be like the marketplace we already have only that instead of having people send a post every 8 hours, the posts that before being published will be checked by marketplace mods and will still there.
While the "exclusive" posts will always be deleted from the mods or automatically
.
it's like the actually marketplace mods work but will be on a website
The website requires resources but it is an investment that should reduce the usage of recourses on marketplace management
- quality of life changes
But from what i see the only reason the staff team cannot be grown is inadequacy of new staff members, which there are a number of ways to deal with
First that comes to mind is creating proper “prefabs” to see if a person is adequate for a moderator or not
Infact that process can even be made automatic
On top of that a purge of inactive staff members could be wise
But, the only thing I can do is suggest
why not just make the same in discord

like
whats the difference
the site is way more unstable and smth can happen for sure
Having the name of the site costs 5 euros a year, a maximum of 15.
I am a volunteer for the development of the site and I am waiting for your response, of the rest then we'll see
Discord is unable to give the same quality as an actual website
tell me 1 thing discord cant do
Like I can imagine a report feature through a bot
ye you can add report button here that adds the 2 ppl to ticket
Have a system to categorise different marketplace requests etc
you can make ppl put it un their commands what category they are
Searching specific things in the channel
Price ranges
Pretty much just different filters
Also do you actually want to have moss go through like 20 different branches of messages
everyone is gonna go for cheap
that is just dymb
Not nececarily
Some folks want quality over quantity
Or
Cheapness
(I hate autocorrect)
Wierd IMO
still a website reduces the amount of work that marketplace admins need to do
Well
how?
for the posts will still need to be checked by mods
its the same just in site
I think there should at least be a report system done
That’s the thing
Not quite
The idea is that users will report posts
And the reported posts will be checked by admins
there will still be some unreported posts
So instead of admins having to go through this massive list of messages they have a specific list of messages that are likely to be against the rules
and that can be done here too
Then do it here
The website just seems as a more universal and more… easy way to do it
That’s what happens when you try to hire for free, doesn’t matter how big the server is. It’ll always be different than hiring free mods
What would stop ppl from seeing it from different browzers?
Bypassing ban
because only lvl 5 in rsc can see it
we just need a script that do it
So they would link their discord to the site?
Also the blacklists
just some scripts......
like we can connect the site with @golden breach
.
we have to think about
It's a good idea but we have to think carefully
this sounds really good tbh, my main worry is that itd decrease the average engagement of posts bcos most ppl would rather just click on a channel than go on a different website. you could possibly counteract this tho by replacing the current channels with a bot which constantly posts recently posted things from the marketplace, then u can just click the message and itll take u to the page. good idea tho
would be easy to do smthn so that u can view all past posts by someone too
We have enough founds and have a web site andress i think costo 15 per year
Also we already have a RSC website đź’€
Can be added on it
that would took a TON of html programming i mean like, A TONN like GIGANTIC, you need to use php stuff, serverside stuff and get data of #💎︱featured and display it there
and if you implemented it you could see the code and people could steal it, so that adds as to add an security system that gets data from another website and MORE STUFF, thats very hard
i feel like ur exaggerating a bit, i dont think itd be that bad lmao
and wdym ppl could see the code. the client side js sure but server side, where all the backend and debatably the more "important" and sensitive stuff can never be seen by the user
marketplace wouldnt be a problem either since they could just use the bot to fetch the data
yo suggesting to shift the main feature of the damn server to a website to remove more Engagement
