#Remove the scripting forums and
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
has been attempted multiple times before, all that's happened is people kept finding weird ways to bypass the slowmode such as editing their messages rather than sending new ones
also, how exactly would threads in a channel work any better than a forum, it's basically the same thing

If the idea I recommended isn't available, so be it,but this forum method isn't cutting 9t
i know, but i think forums is the best way to go
if anything we could develop some bot to make it work better
I simple did 1 single message pinging 10 people to bypass the slowmode
@crude dagger Literally no different than #📜︱scripting-help-classic
#1020374354867007528 has worked immensely better and more organized than the original help channels ever did, it’s basically forced thread creation but made to be more clear.
I don’t see how this is a good idea at all..
Look at the activity of it
People just use the backup because it functions the same as the old ones did
Currently you'll get like 10 requests an hour and 1 maybe 2 will be resolved
It's less engaging
And pro scripting forum is like a fire station baby
You’re using activity as an argument? The old help channels had the same if not more activity of mostly people asking and repeating themselves constantly. Issues didn’t get resolved sooner than it does now and I don’t think the forum channels are the reason people don’t engage. It’s the stupid questions that discourage people from answering, and you don’t get a lot out of helping if they just want to be spoonfed.
I don’t agree at all with you.
Meex 2 vs Meexmas..
#📜︱pro-scripting has replaced pro scripting help as the help channel for semi competent scripter
Scripters
Past an intermediate level the pollution of the old scripting help channel made it hard to get proper help, which is why we had a separate "pro" channel
The problem with this model is there is no pro channel, there is pro studio help, which is extremely inactive
pro studio help is the pro channel.. it’s not any different from the old pro channel except it using forum channels
5 posts in 11 days
the pro channels were extremely active and the current pro scripting help is posting memes, discussing scripting and asking if someone has a function for something (not something that should’ve been asked in pro scripting help either)
the channel is for “pro” members to ask questions, they don’t always need that much help
the old pro scripting help was basically a hangout for scripter 2+
@crude dagger agree with our big boss Meex, I've already tried to change his mind, but it's impossible
No one has to agree with me on anything
This just doesn’t solve the clutter and makes help channels less friendly to members
less organized
i think in the end Meex is right, a lot of people hate forums but they are a bit neater
the high amount of posts won’t change based on the method of posting used
Little does he know I always change meexs mind..
Yes but it was effective
the only improvements i can come up with is stronger moderation, a stack overflow method of closing duplicates, enabling members to close their own posts, require more information when posting, award people that help with achievements
not more or less than what we use now, i’m really confused about you mixing pro and normal help
i can understand you disliking the new pro help, the normal help however is way better
the old pro help was more of a hangout
like pro scripting now is
and can still be used for
no logic, extra channel that won’t be used at much just like pro studio help
Pro scripting could be used also for help.
use pro scripting if you want to hangout
i don’t think we have any rules against that in place
so again nothing different
People are against it
well the people have chosen then
