Discord forums still a beta feature, they are much easier to use, and yes, they can bug sometimes but doesn't mean they are bad and should be removed. They are not the classic help text channels, which you send a question and have high chances of being ignored. From my experience, forums are a very good feature if you are looking for help or help other people, keep in mind this is just my opinion.

you are right for the fact that in the forums you have a big change of response unlike the scripting help channel, because the treadhs remain active for 3 days, but in my opinion normal scripting chat are better.You can open the chat and see the latest messages instead of open 2k threads and look for which they have not answered or have not found a solution.
Then in my opinion, with threads, people only care about posting their messages, instead of engaging them they can look for a solution on their own.

i think scriptinghelp and studio help can coexist with eachother
Scripting help for quick response with lower chance of getting a response
Studio help for delayed response but higher chance + a seperate thread for it
