I'm sad to announce my departure from this amazing staff team and community.

I joined back in late 2019 and eventually became moderator on the 8th of January 2020.
Over the years I've worked extremely hard to change this community to be inviting, friendly and safe for all. I'm happy to announce that I and the team itself have made a lot of progress compared to how and what it was.

I never imagined actually receiving the moderator position when I filled in the application early 2020, I reached such a low point in my life that I said fuck it the worst that can happen is me not getting accepted.

Eventually reaching the senior moderator position just 6 months after joining the team.
And earning the community manager (formerly administrator) position at the start of 2021.

I have enjoyed my time here a lot, I've made more friends than I ever imagined I would and lead some extremely talented and amazing staff members. However over the past few months I haven't felt the joy, purpose and energy I previously felt when moderating and managing this community. I've spent thousands of hours doing just that but it felt like nothing until these past couple month(s).

At the time it gave me purpose in life, and now it's time for me to find new and exciting opportunities. And to focus on the more important things in life, like making offline friends, finishing studies, and lots of other things.

RSC has helped me grow as a person and I will never forget the time and experience I've had here. I'm extremely grateful for all the support I've received the last 3 years and for all the amazing friends I've made. I (and the team) couldn't have made this community how it is without all of you.

I have done my absolute best to make sure my departure goes as smoothly as possible.
Thank you for everything ❤️. I hope that one day I'll return but as a normal member (most likely soon).

Description: Boids again, but this time with better rate limiting, multithreading, and a sparse grid to partition the space and allow for more efficiently calculating vectors, which increased the boids that could be run with no drop in fps from ~300 to ~500 compared to my previous implementation (also used the new native compilation beta feature)

The beams are drawn from each boid out to the boids that it sees, and the cubes represent the cells that exist in the sparse grid.
