hey, odd question, but I need a couple Lightsaber blade effect ideas.
The current ways I can think of to make a lightsaber blade in studio is 1. making a solid core for the white and adding a texture for the bloom effect on the outside, which gives it a cleaner look but is super static and doesn't look right from certain angles. option 2. is to use a particle emitter at one end of the blade so it looks like the blade is flowing, but you would need to generate a load of particles which could bog down performance and it still doesn't look consistent. any ideas?

hey, odd question, but I need a couple Lightsaber blade effect ideas.
The current ways I can think of to make a lightsaber blade in studio is 1. making a solid core for the white and adding a texture for the bloom effect on the outside, which gives it a cleaner look but is super static and doesn't look right from certain angles. option 2. is to use a particle emitter at one end of the blade so it looks like the blade is flowing, but you would need to generate a load of particles which could bog down performance and it still doesn't look consistent. any ideas?

Particle emitter's number sequence caps at 10. The only way to get past this leeway is through coding.
