Read the wiki, about beams for some technical details. So you can nail that part atleast, from there you start freestyling.

Think about, the placement of an attachment and all those other miniscule details. Visualize, the end-result, examine, and deconstruct(= break it down) references you can find on Pinterest or on Twitter. Start doing master-studies, recreate them till you get the hang of it. And at last, don't give up. The key is to be able to translate VFX creations into the ROBLOX Engine. Look for the boundaries, and work around them. That's where you get the most technical experience from.

By doing master-studies, you start following the foot-steps of the person who made the creation. You get to nimble around in the same thought process, they were in.

Once you get that under control, you can start freestyling out of imagination.

The moment you start hitting an obstruction/(=getting blocked) by not having enough experience, all you have to do is follow-through. Start prioritizing on the practise of scripting.

Like actually engage yourself, put yourself in the spot. It's a matter of doing it consistently, it's like learning an new language, which I know, it can be hard.

But if you don't keep pushing yourself on scripting & educating yourself atleast nearly daily just to push forward you won't get anywhere.

So my recommendation would be, to just get started by doing simple stuff if you're an beginner, from there you start incorporating ideas. Maybe you want the brick to be able to kill the player, while it's changing colors.

That's where you start linking up things from your experience, and you get used to it, you'll learn to pair things together without having to look up for an tutorial or whatever.
