If I recall correctly, polar is one of the handful of people who got ranked for designing VFX using stationary meshes, you'd have to filter for images

#

As for the on going argument over 3D VFX, imo, anyone can slap together a few things to create a stationary VFX concept, I'd only consider it an actual "effect" when you show the "real-time animation" part of VFX
