I start with my first initial pose on frame 0, then I do torso only until I've hit a point where the pose is important.
Sometimes its 20 frames, sometimes its like 4 seconds of torso only. Once I've hit that point I fill it all in by animating all the limbs and victim and move onto the next time frame.

for how long and slow he floats for
if youre gonna make him suddenly fastfall downwards you need to start making him fall a little earlier
could also lead into the kick more and then pull the leg back before the kick a little bit more

you do not need to do this
you can just match it to the torsos keyframes
you dont need to add a million keyframes for head movement

since if you notice small issues
with movements
its just easier to fix if you have less keyframes
what u could do is if you really want to add that many keyframes you can do all of the manual smoothing and edits after you get the actual movement down
i do that sometimes and it works well

and with your legs it wasnt the easing thats making them slide
its just because you added so many keyframes and probably ended up forgetting which way they were meant to move
