Do not be scared to take risks, do not try to become "the new someone" become the first you, by that I mean that if you ever acheive that goal of being the copy of someone, first it isnt your own style, so you have no identity in animation, very forgettable person, and second, you are not bringing anything to the table, animation is evolving because of people making something new, creating new mechanics, new techs, new styles.

And do not be scared to make "weird" stuff, if people call it bad just say its your style, and polish it until YOU are satisfied, and for the beginner who want to get better and make your own style, it is better to learn something from many animators, the thing they do best or have thats special, you could learn leftrights posing, egors exaggeration, bluerevs realism, etc, combine it to make your own style while adding your own touch to it, lotta yap ik
