basically fleet arena is the main way to get crystals which speed up progression
you will be unable to climb your fleet shard so your crystal income will not be good
given how your account has nothing of note, it'd probably be best to start a new account in order to place in fleet arena
you have practically no progress
but you'll have a fresh fleet shard, meaning you can actually make crystals which help for progress, plus you're not losing much, your account looks like it's one week old

The question is basically what opponents you’ll face in fleet arena.
From a fresh start you’re facing a lot of other new players.
From an older start you’re facing people who’ve had five years to build their accounts.
Hopeless at first but long term better IMO because many will have quit.
If you’re going to spend then new account. If it’s F2P for life an old account isn’t a bad thing.
It’s the biggest source of income in the game, definitely worth caring about.
Progression is a lot faster now.

Either way first two teams to build are veers troopers and Phoenix.
If you haven’t played for years how do you know? Game has changed a lot.

My advice would be start a new account, play for a week, and if you don’t like it go back to the old one if you feel so strongly about the progress you’ve made.
