Best first relic

What's the best first relic for an account? I'm currently going for exec so my first two thoughts were vader or bossk but ik getting ROI is also important so maybe ponchos? Kyros are hard for me to come by

ponchos are a good farm to do either just after exec, or even after jabba. as you said vader is a great first relic for your exec farm

Ponchos need 800 kyro in total so I'd do (and I did myself) executor first

You can do the first three tiers with 7* g8 ponchos

Lynn’s don’t stress about it. Either Vader or bossk will be great and the pancho bros are also a fine idea.

Bossk and Vader have been great relics.

Depends what you have but for a typical early Executor type of strategy Bossk and Vader are easy picks.

Piett is another possibility and I’d do him before ponchos (the +20 speed is important to the way troopers work if you set Piett as fastest).

Unless you’re getting extraordinary sources of kyros though, Bossk and Vader are the ticket.

Definitely don’t do poncho bros because of their kyro requirements. The AB is good but getting Executor done is better.

If you're going for an executor rush, pick an imperial trooper that doesn't have a kyro requirement who can be a single point damage dealer and pseudo tank for your veers team. This team gets you two assault battles when humming.

Those would be starck, snow trooper, maybe a few others - but shards from those two come freely from bronzium packs, so you don't need to farm them up

The team would look like veers, piett, your chosen relic, range trooper, gideon

Most of the team can stay low gear, you make piett or Gideon as fast as you can to go first, and that one relic trooper can tank the challenge tier one assault battles. Rest of the team can be gear 10ish until you get more injector income (from the assault battles)

Gotcha gotcha

I'm working on piett rn but have gotten really unlucky with bronze packs (best I've gotten is veers). Isn't dark trooper usually in that spot you say for relics? Ik it is very kyro heavy. Is range necessary?

I think veers and snowtrooper are the only troopers available in bronziums

Dark is kyro heavy and is remarkably effective built just to pre-kyro because of how the troopers team works with stacking damage.

Range isn’t “necessary” but is obviously one of the best for the team, Cheap to build, lots of assists.

While having a specific damage dealer is great I found that using even a fairly low gear Moff Gideon meant that I wasn’t as dependent on a quick kill to get the TM train rolling and had the luxury of using a weak team. Scout is maybe even better as mass stagger does something similar and Scout is a req for Leia.

I used G12 Veers, R8 Piett, G12 Range, G8 Dark, G8 Gideon for a long time. Doesn’t work for everything, eventually for things like Revan/Makak teams you need Dark Trooper to hit way harder.

Range trooper is absolutely necessary for the team, range trooper's unique makes the team work a lot better by adding extra assists.

Dark trooper is absolutely on the team - but later. Kyros are precious at this stage, and you'll need all you can get for exec

One other possibility for the damage for the team instead of Dark is Iden as she has an amazing ship, but she requires kyros too so hard to recommend.

I’ve never liked Snow or Magma. Death doesn’t take kyros and is flexible because of the Remnant tag.

Building snow to relics seems like a waste when a middling gear Dark can do similar things.

Death does not have a ship.

Death has a thing that was used in fleet arena to instantly die to win Leviathan mirrors back in the day, but there is no TIE Reaper. It does not exist.

My first relic was starck - happens to also be a rote platoon at R6, not a terrible toon, and continues to be somewhat useful... I guess into Aurodium, low kyber
