Some of my major questions are:

-what makes a mod good

-what should I do to a good mod to make it better?

-How do I get the cool yellow mods, and the yellow mods with the gold casing?

  • what’s the BEST way to level up my good mods without destroying the bank

-is the mod shop worth it? (I have a feeling it’s a no but I’m still curious

-what are good mod sub-buffs

That’s all I can really think about but if you have any info + tips and tricks PLEASE let me know 🙏

Mod shop not really good, you will destroy your bank to get good mods more or less unless you drive yourself insane reviewing each mod

Best mods for each character you'll want to use swgoh.gg

For super in depth explanation of mods Darth loquidator does a good job though does take quite the time to watch (6 part series) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs1ilb9P9ks

The Mod system in SWGOH can be confusing. This is the start of a 5 video series to discuss and develop a system for sorting and working on mods efficiently. This first video is basic information, targeting new players. The next videos will add complexity, rule set, workshops, math, and examples.

Very general advice, you want to focus on Speed on your mods

#

Doesn't mean you always have to have speed mods, but generally you want your mods to be as fast as possibl

#

That being said, it is a resource management game, so you want to balance out giving your best mods to your best toons, with making sure most teams you use have decent speeds

#

On 90% of characters, you will want Speed as the primary on the arrow (so it will give 30 speed, or 32 if the mod is gold)

#

Best mods per toon you can find by looking for them on https://swgoh.gg/ (as Nwonknu said), and then clicking here

#

Also worth noting, if/when you get to ships, each mod bumped up to the gold surrounding will add +1 speed to the ship, which can be very important for ships (mainly capitol ships)
It doesn't matter what kind of mod it is, or whether it's 6A or 6E, as long as it has the golden edge & therefore 6 dots (such as on this image)
