Id say go for your legendary toons next. Make sure to find a guild and get in one that does heroic raids. As long as you get 600 tickets a day (spending 600 energy every guild activity rotation), more than likely they’ll let you stay and build alongside the other memebers.

In the journey section yes, unfortunately you won’t be able to get too far in them but you should be able to at least unlock palpatine thrawn and R2 at 5 stars. They all are good toons for their respective teams. After that I’d recommend checking out the requirements for Commander Luke Skywalker and move towards grabbing him. you can get Palpatine 7 stars with your CLS requirements (aside from R2). But you could do an easy Ackbar farm from squad arena for your fifth rebel requirement for Palpatine. Ackbar also has his capital ship so it’s worth upgrading him anyway
CLS will be required later down the road for Jedi Knight Luke so it would be nice to get CLS prepared early. Plus CLS teams are good in grand arena and raids. He is just a strong toon all around to have as early as possible

And when you got Energy left start to unlock Mara Jade just unlock her. No need for more than 2-3 Stars at the moment
And you can also unlock the Chimera when you got Thrawn :) with hdb
And use the crystals you get for energy refreshes the 50 ones
