Severe frame drops from picking up items

I figured I would post my issue here instead of the google form for other players to potentially help me!
I don't know what I did exactly to cause this bug, but it started when I was in the mines and using my Kart and pickaxe. Whenever I mine and pick up items, my game starts to lag severely, and my frame drops from 60 FPS down to 7 or less depending on how many dropped items I pick up. And as someone who likes to thoroughly clean through floors, this is REALLY bad. I should also note that I have a really beefy PC and have restarted my PC twice to try and solve the issue to no avail.

do you have a lot of items in your overflow storage by chance?

there's a known issue i'm still working through with optimizing large overflow inventories

but if you do, cleaning that out will reduce the lag for now

I probably do yeah. I tend to let things overflow fairly quickly the second I enter the mines lol. I'll check my overflow storage now!
