#Snacko City quest not registering restauranteurs

I am having a previously noted in the bug reports issue with not being able to invite the other mail clerk I don't have (Date), but also Snacko City is not registering I have all the restauranteurs as well. I can provide my save file if needed.

Platform: Steam Deck 512 GB LCD

Proton version: GE-Proton9-10

for me this resolved once i finished the quest to invite all residents

since thats also when you unlock the quest to get all restauranteurs, i think maybe theres just something weird with when it actually checks if you did this

I should check if this is fixed.

My issue is that I was unable to get Date as well.

I know what Date is. I do not have the category for mail clerk, only new friends.

I was able to invite all the other job category villagers.

this sounds like something @deep lava may need to fix on your file if you invited lan and shes not present

im not really sure what might be going on with date so the devs will probably have to help figure that out

If I remember right, I think her house is outright locked too. Like the style as if she was supposed to arrive soon.

Yup, completely locked.

Lan decided to start her FFXIV playthrough I guess.

I am not able to re-invite her since the selection for mail clerks does not exist.

because if not i think most likely both lan and date will need to be invited, and it might lowkey be the same issue

It's like mail clerks don't exist in my save file as a concept.

im not sure if maybe the unlock for them got changed; i had previously had both of them on my island when they got reimplemented and was able to re-invite, so im not 100% what the criteria is

I mostly started doing quests until I barely got any anymore.

Again just went as hard as I could at quests.

So this is damn weird, but a quest JUST appeared after refreshing the board a few times.

And I assume this is probably the quest that was stopping Lan's FFXIV playthrough from ending.

So I just thought of something, but I have mutliple quest boards.

Could this be causing issues? Because I have not seen this quest despite checking the board a lot.

i personally think its more likely related to these being old files, bc ive had a handful of weird quest things going on w my old file

Like I've been checking the all tab of quests for a while for new quests that aren't repeatables because I love content™️, and just this capital post one is just chilling there now.

@here Snacko City should now be completable in 0.9.4_9347 - this patch unlocks the quests The More the Messier and Ring Around the Restaurant which do need to be completed first

I'm gonna be blunt, I didn't know the quest was uncompletable because my brain got mixed up in another game for a hot bit. I'll make sure to do the quest!

it was just weird bc it required the quests for the tasks to be completed rather than the tasks as stated

the more the messier and ring around the restaurant i also already had completed, idk if they were temporarily locked or if they werent supposed to be there before?

I didn't get all the residents in yet, but I do have Lan and Date.

Lan has come out of hibernation, took a shower, and is experiencing the delights of sunlight and fresh air.

like i dont dislike the idea of it as a sort of capstone quest, i just think it could stand to be clearer since the others arent prereqs to it but are to each other (unless thats what the patch adjusted)
