- Jeweler's Table appears with the Furnace image in the Crafting Recipes, for the larger moving image when you click on the recipe
- Jeweler's Table will eat all gems in a stack, not just what it needs (ex it ate 7 diamonds for a 2 gem slot lol. dw i reset the day bc i hadnt done anything yet)
- Possibly working as intended, but the Jeweler's Table appears to require gems to be in the tool slots to be used? Which is doable, but kinda awkward since non-tools glitch out the tool rotation with Q and R a bit and I don't really want to have to move my gems in and out of the tool slots to look at what they'll do if I use them to upgrade
- For some reason it seems that instead of picked up items automatically going into existing stacks in the inventory, if there's an empty slot before the existing stack, it picks up there instead. not the worst thing in the world, but kinda weird and a little inconvenient

hmm, that's weird, it should refund all of the leftover gems to your inventory, not consume them all
can you double check?
i just tried myself
i can try it again; but it definitely ate the whole stack when i did it last night. it was my axe and i think it was like. ate 2 aquamarine instead of one -> ate 7 diamonds instead of 2 -> realized i needed 3 for the next one and didnt have 3 of anything -> went to put gems away and had no diamonds, went "wait didnt i have a lot of diamonds before?" -> reset, yeah i had 7
its possible im misremembering and it was on the 3rd slot or something, where i guess it could have maybe just applied it twice? (eat 3 and 4 -> whole stack) but i will see if i can replicate it
Also would like to note is the quest to get the table, Nobu says a lapis and ruby shards but the ruby shards are missing.
oh, i recieved ruby shards from that i think?
im not 100% what came from what quest but i did have a lapis and 5 ruby shards after doing the new tutorials
hmm they suddenly popped up after placing the jewel table down
yeah
ohhhhh
yeah i remember that happening too
i think i had assumed it was a different quest finishing or something
Its weird because Nobus said he's giving a lapis and ruby shards but you get the lapis no shards, then after you put the table down which completes the quest and shards pop up lol
i didnt actually read what nobu said bc i was trying to make sure if the new quests had blueprints i was missing asdfasd
yeah, that's a bit confusing, i just looked and the quest is set up to give you the shards at the end
also @proper forum the specific tools have their effects only active when you are using them, the summoning bell is the exception, everything you put on that is passive
naughty nobu
and you also need to level that in order for your pet to do damage in the other biomes
i might add passive effects to the farm tools but since you can craft multiple it might get a little weird
.....you can upgrade the summoning bell?
yeah
i didnt even think to try that 👀
Maybe limit the tools to max 2
the summoning bell passives are really good imo
yeah, i do think there needs to be some sort of limit/reduced size to the equipment inventory, especially if we want the tools to start applying effects when you aren't using them
but i also don't want to have an annoyingly small inventory you have to manage
it's a hard balance ;;
yeah youd also have to change it so gems dont have to be in there
for the tool inventory slots just move whats left over and increase main inventory
otherwise itd be an even bigger pain to do upgrades
if you do it just by gems then a certain threshold for diminishing returns
i am personally of the opinion tho that if someone wants to make their movement speed so fast they see god (read: zoom off the map) thats a them problem, like the staircase to heaven and falling off asdfasd
i think i want to change the jeweler's table ui so that there isn't a rucksack/items inventory you have to swap to at all, but a little gem box that just has all of your owned gems underneath the equips rn
yeah
yeah i'd have to rebalance how the effects are applied for sure, right now everything is balanced around the summoning bell passives + the one active tool you're using
there is what 8 types of gems? If so each gem can be to a specific modifier. could limit the bell to the same amount of gems. start of the gems like a weak version and they have to upgrade the gems
Weak x1
Normal x3
Strong x 9
Elite x27
Perfect x81
but something like that, if your improving mines then having a mine in a specific area with a couple of the area shards with a % of weak gem drops.
and leave main tools alone without passives as you could have a specific colour type passive bell with the colour of sprite maybe.
The one we have now can only equip emerald so something to that benefit.
hmm yeah this is an interesting thought, we could use the item quality/star system for progressing gems as well
like you mentioned we still have to work on 4 biome mines so i think a bigger change/rebalance like that would make sense during us working on the mines
i'm sure there's a lot i'll want to adjust LOL
yeah that's fair. so limiting the amount of bells to the amount of gems you have and only can equip the gem colour of the pet and instead of being allowed to make them can only aquire them from the area they are in.
Like Ruby and Lapis can be lizard types for the desert biomes and can only help you in the desert biome.
What happens when I make a quest at 4am
I will move it out of the quest rewards
it's fine these things happen lol
Same thing just happened to me it consumed 3 rubies instead of 2 and never refunded the 3rd one.
Oh it popped up after several open and closing weird
I get it, it does refund it but not back into the tool inventory, it puts it back into the standard inventory o.O
ah yeah it should put the leftover gems back into your normal inventory
we're probably going to change the ui so that it's just the tool inventory and a gem box with all of your gems, kinda like the way the builder kit works
where you don't need to be holding them
the only issue stopping that right now is that the slotting process needs an actual item to put in, where the gem box would be more like a quantity of items that the process needs to go out and consume from all of your stuff
Cant you set the gem box like as you craft from wood containers?
Also a suggestion is allow us to be able to put animals into different barns, instead of setting free. would like to put the cows in one barn but as i didnt have resources at the time for 2 barns ended up with chick n cow in one barn.
thats not what recursive's talking about; the UI itself needs to be adjusted to do this 🙂
i believe you can move around farm animals in your journal
(this also probably shouldnt be used to discuss topics outside the scope of the thread)
