#issue with dark core RGB PRO SE disconnecting randomly

Hello!
Have you tried “uninstalling” your mouse and dongle from your system, unplugging them from the PC, restarting your PC, and then plugging them back in?
never, wasnt aware that was an option, im assuming thats effectively a factory reset?
No, from my understanding, it’s not.
we'll be able to test if it imediately works or not, since most of the time this issue occurs when first plugging in for the day after letting it charge.
Although, we can try this after.
alright.
Please open Windows “Settings” and navigate to “Bluetooth and Devices”
One moment, opening Discord on my PC.
just a heads up my desktop doesnt have acess to bluetooth in case u were about to have me try something via bluetooth, anyway its open
I know.
Click "Remove Device" for the dongle/receiver
k
After you do that, restart your PC
how can i acess windows restart with just my keyboard? dont remember how to go through the windows menu.
Windows + X
Yeah
k, back soon.
When you're in Windows, plug it back in.
k im back
If this does not work, I wonder if it's how the dongle is connected to the PC.
Just so I'm aware, how is the dongle connected to the PC? For example, I have my mouse plugged into my mousepad, and my mousepad is plugged into my monitor USB port. Then, my monitor is plugged into my PC via DisplayPort (video) and USB (to configure the display settings).
wait, if a monitor has a usb port, i can plug my mosuepad into there and my keyboard and all taht stuff will go in through my display port?
that's Crazy, i didnt know that, i might just check to see if my monitor has a usb slot lol
No, the monitor must have a dedicated USB-A port and a USB cable from the monitor to the PC.
DisplayPort/HDMI are specifically for video (and audio), nothing else.
ah, for a second i thought there was something i didnt know about display ports lol, ok that makes MUCH more sense
It's okay. It can be confusing at times...
anyway, uh, right now my MM700 mousepad is plugged into my pc, and my K55 keyboard into that, and my mouse into the mm700 mousepad aswell then that back to my pc
though gonna say this now, so far its working like a dream since removing the dongle.
lights on my keyboard still died, and had to go into icue to re-enable them, but its not rapidly disconnecting currently, so that's a great sign
for some reason icue isnt detecting my mouse though and not applying my MSI settings
icue thinks its off
It may be an issue with the devices not getting enough power, as the keyboard AND mouse are both plugged into the mousepad. Is this correct?
The mousepad may not be providing enough power to the keyboard and mouse.
yes, but it was like that for like, nearly a year and then just suddenly started 1 day
with nothing in my setup changing
True...
so, i just highly doubt it
possible but it'd be weird
anyway, so far its working prettty good since doing that
just icue isnt detecting it for some reason
Is the mouse dongle plugged back in and is the mouse on the 2.4 GHz mode?
rebooting icue fixed that nvm
Okay
so far all is well, i think you fixed my problem man, hold on im gonna replug back in the mouse softly (which normally i'd have to be forceful) and if it doesnt do that problem then i think im in the clear.
yeah nothing happend i put it in soft as a feather, and normally that doesnt work at all, so far its working as great as the 1st day i got it
been putting up with this for like 6+ months so ur a life saver, since i really like this mouse
knew it had to be something weird happy its not the USB like i thought, corsair products are pretty high quality.
Interesting. So I suppose an uninstall and reinstall of the mouse dongle from your system worked.
yeah, NO idea why but
working like a dream now.
could be a fluke, but i'll know for sure in the next coming days, cuz i've never went days without it happening, generally a few times a day.
I suppose if you ever have this issue again, open Windows settings and click "Remove Device" on the device you want to remove.
yeah, well Thanks! i really appreciate it, never would have thought to try that.
Also make a new post in #1060676452527378472 if the issue , or another issue, ever happens.
Thanks for letting me help you with your mouse!
Have a great day!
hold on, just happend briefly, but could have been a fluke, i'll have to wait more days
to test it out.
ok
can i @ u in a few days if it keeps happening?
Yeah, that's fine.
ok, im gonna just leave this channel up, since i have had days where it didnt do it much, but ive never gone more then a day without it happening once atleast badly.
fingers crossed
This is more of a "worst case" scenario, but if the issue never gets resolved, contact Corsair tech support. Doesn't hurt to try.
yeah, corsair support is p good, their customer service is great, was having issues with my headphones, and they just replaced them for free.
wish more tech companys were like that.
Yeah, Corsair Support is nice.
@still raptor now that its been a few days, yeah issue still occurs
idk if this helps but when it disconnects if left plugged in, i'll get this pop up
just tried something likely pointing to it confirming its an issue with the usb itself, this time when plugging it in, i held it in with my finger, and it would immediately disconnect the second i let go of pressure.
this time when removing the dongle from the bluetooth tab lead to it just instantly disconnecting again so
Sorry, I’ve been so busy with school and such. Please ping me later today.
@signal rune ^^
Hey @signal rune? I'd recommend creating a Corsair support ticket for this issue and asking them about potential solutions.
