I was bored
I'll accept that as answer
discord won't play the videoo
Honestly the AMS Lite weighs almost nothing
Youāre fine.
It might get fussy about orientation though
From a couple things I printed it seems fine

Eyyyy itās still up
if it ever falls down ill update
There's literally zero reason to not mount this properly š
you're already ruining your paint with all that tape why not just make a few holes
There's even a pivot version which is cool
i dont have screws
You can but it's almost always a terrible idea
Theyāre too fine
Thatās why I print bolts
my skyscraper hasnāt come crashing down ye
yeah but a ams is heavy
Some hardware stores will just give you them for free if you only need a few
Iām late to the party but Iām scared by what Iāve seen
Even if they donāt it shouldnāt be more than a few bucks
If I really need some Iāll just ask theater for some
Brother by the time you really need them it'll be too late
You're risking damaging not only the AMS unit but your printer as well if it falls
Devils advocate I havenāt seen a broken AMS yet
And theyāre pretty light
And itās not dead yet
Coming from Mr Jank himself
Is that a hard drive š
https://makerworld.com/en/models/1008773-multimeter-probe-tweezer-adapter this is a good print
Tired of struggling to hold multimeter probes while testing circuits or components? Say hello to the Single-Handed Multimeter Probe Clips ā a simple yet innovative accessory designed to make your electrical testing tasks easier, faster, and more efficient! These handy clips attach securely to your multimeter probes, allowing you to use your multi...
Takes 30 minutes and is great for making a cheap multimeter much more usable
this seems extremely dangerous lol
Why, itās literally a multimeter
It's just plastic to hold it in place?
^^
Any probe positions you can make with your hands can be made with this
if that springs open in your hand and you cross two phases on 480
just checking voltage
Idk id imagine most people are using multimeters for low voltage
High voltage you should be taking many more precautions
One hand measuring 100+ volts is wild
you'd be surprised what people do lol
lol like this guy
fluke on life support
ā¦.
It aināt gonna fall in 12 hours
Iāll take the filaments off just in case
Oh you don't say hmmmmmmmmmm?
So apparently the wall isnāt white but actually tan
Sooo Iāll figure that out later
LMAOOO
This is why we color match first...
rgb
no ?
where is the rgb bro š
leaks of H2D, it will somehow have a laser engraver and 2 nozzles on a single extruder, bambu even put in their shop blank business/bank cards to engrave
it has 4 cameras
and a rumored 5500$ pricetag
I'll take 2
but it's weird because it's attacking the enterprise/prosumer market but it doesn't have an ethernet port
Bambu be like that
Let's split it, sisterhood of the traveling printer style
No auto print eject??? shame
lol
but I do know of a fair few people that would go crazy for that
On a real note what printers offer this natively without modding?
Genuinely don't know
Nothing I know of
Itās just that Bambu are heavily used for print farms and people would go insane for that feature
"only"
Did I stutter
You can do it on the bambu, PEI self releases which means you can just push objects off
Itās just that it might not fully release when you have a lot of supports or if you have a very fragile model you know
Yeah but I mean like an apparatus that gets it off the bed ready to print another model
He wants a rake
Why are they rebranding
Bambu reviews are live
The h2d looks so cool
The Bambu Lab H2D has arrived. The leaks were true, but the don't tell the whole story. This video is my first look at the new H2D machine covering as many features and functions as possible in the very short time frame available!
I had no information on pricing on creation of this video.
I've spent a lot of time crunching hard to get this vid...
it's even compatible with A series
it's got a super cool ventilation system with servos
auto nozzle size
they used the silicone isolators like on noctua fans
like honestly it's super cool
Prusa XL 1 and 2 extruder is cooked
and probably even the 5 tools depending on the usage, if it's for high temp stuff the H2D is 1000x better, if it's not least waste multi-material it still wins, but it's also almost 2x the price of the H2D
Bambu W?
yeah, huge bambu W
like this would be equal spec, enclosure, 2 extruders, fully assembled, same build area
you can almost buy 2 H2Ds for that price
dual nozzle single extruder
it's also a laser if you didn't notice
chamber heating
it has an NPU !!
@stuck cobalt is gonna have trouble taping the AMS2 pro to the wall
We will not tolerate this drywall cruelty š
Damn my next big boy purchase way down the line
What's do you think the split for people buying the laser add ons will be
My guess is 80%+ don't bother with it
Maybe more like 90%
what people don't see is how nasty laser cutting is
you'd need to clean it when switching from printing to laser
Yep
A lot of people will buy the laser part, try it once or twice, then stick it in a drawer
and you can buy a standalone laser cutter for very cheap
Yeah that's why I don't understand why they did this?
Why not make a laser cutter if they want to break into that matket
this is from their wiki
Market*
look at how nasty everything is
I do see this being very popular for print farms
Not the laser upgrade
Just H2D and AMS2
yeah
This will enable certain engineering plastics?
its frigging huge
yeah, some plastics need to be constantly dried, and i presume the heating is to avoid any big change in temp from the AMS to the chamber
I do wonder, what if Bambu just made an A1 XL or P1 XL
Thatās gonna sell FAST
1899 is wild
X1C is like 1449
Thatās crazy
I expected 3k
i thought it was 999
Wowie
Usually somewhere around there
But sometimes 1400ish and sometimes 1200ish
P1 combo is around 800-1000
P1 non combo can be had for 550
AMS 2 Pro implies the existance of a non pro AMS 2
Instead of 4 slots it would be 3/j
Iām guessing just like AMS1 but improved for more time between failures and and better general quality
Yeah itās really a very VERY good deal for a machine this big with this many features, it has bloody 4 cameras and an NPU
Itās gonna be sold out for a long time
Truly insane
Canāt wait to see it on demo doing its thing
Also dual nozzle at the full 600mm/s
C r a z y
I really really wanna see that printer in action
The price is aimed directly at mid-level print farms / enthusiasts / small business
And to completely undercut the prusa XL too
I think 9/10 people will go for the bambu, only die hard prusa fans will go for the XL
I mean even the 5 TH prusa XL doesnāt come with A SINGLE CAMERA, ITāS A 5K PRINTER
i want a 3d priinter but i feel like i wont use it that much
It has layers
this is super cool

Finally printed something useful Iāll print it in Petg later
@waxen tartan should i trust this?
plus shipping
for unknown quality
hmm
For hot end parts I'd probably stick to first party
But it is also probably fine
ouch expensive
I want it
it has active heating so yeah

So I was just permanently banned from r/QidiTech3d subreddit after commenting about how my family lost everything when the Plus4 I had caught on fire. There are MULTIPLE reports of boards starting to smoke and melt.... They were lucky, because they had warning before theirs went up in flames.
My Plus 4 has the new ...
X1C is officially tiny.
Oh dang this is a full size a1 I thought it was the mini
Iām surprised the do not touch the printers sign is there
Our microcenter doesnāt say that
Also very cool store
Looks better than ours
Itās new :D
As in put the printer outside?
doesnt abs need a warm enclosure'
uhhhhh
who knows
ill leave it inside
but like closes the door
and makes sure fumes dont escape
its not a good idea
the a1 mini has no active cooling
you cant enclose it to get ABS temps
your build plate also doesnt get hot enough
no you are going to break something
the a1 series specifically cannot be enclosed you will cook the internals
i originally wanted an enclosure too at some point but it wasnt worht it
Even abs on p1s is a bit questionable
Did you tape your hot end to the wall or something
š
What do yāall use to design stuff? I want to do functional prints but canāt afford to get fusion, but itās the software I know
AutoCAD? I think my friend uses that for the stuff he does for his job
fusion360
I love fusion- too expensive
Yeah i was gonna say
I mean I can try but it didnāt work last time
wdym
Autodesk Fusion for personal use is a limited, free version that includes basic functionality for qualifying users who generate less than CA$1355 in annual revenue and use for home-based, non-commercial projects only.
yeah Iāll try again then
its what I use
if it doesnāt work what do yall recommend
It's free isn't it
supposedly
I've never paid for fusion and I've used it several times
I always say it's a piece of shit software tho
Weirdly laggy
Solid works and inventor just run better
Oh is that stopping it from authenticating
possibly
It is sometimes but I like it
It is finnicky
It drives me insane
I regret not getting a year of solidworks for $24 in January
But you'd have to use solidworks then
Tried Solidworks?
blender
blender + cura for printing
prusa slicer has been my favourite
Good to know
Itās literally free for makers
Youāre limited at 10 active projects but you can enable/disable projects
which is the absolute best
If you have a school account use autodesk
9 hour print because I added a hole under the end to store stuff š
that is way too much plastic
I think I'll just scale this down
75% = 5 hours
Dude thatās so much filament
yeah it's insane, I decided just to make them 50% of the size
no way was I gonna print that š
damn
might grab a1 mini
Yeah itās a nice printer
I decided on something smarter
mm yues
and they work nicely too
I had one on each but I just reprinted it to make it less ugly

Good guy Phillips
W Phillips.
I might do that since an old headpiece of mine broke
How didā¦you know what, GG
I'm not sure how they did it but I'm impressed
Thankfully I take care of my printer, currently have an A1 mini and Iāve put over 300 hours into it since like the 15th of December
Getting a P1S in a couple weeks
I want an a1 mini SO BAD
doesnāt matter much here
I would personally recommend the A1 over the A1 mini, mostly just for the larger build plate
And get these if you get it, it helps a ton https://voxelpla.com/products/hula-anti-vibration-damper
VOXEL x HULA is the world's first seismic isolator-inspired anti-vibration damper for the Bambu Lab P1P / P1S / X1 / X1C / A1 Mini, Creality K1 / K1C / K1 Max, and Prusa MK3 / MK4 printer. HULA's innovative damping method decouples the printer from the desk, minimizing table shakes, improving print quality, and reducing stress on the printer.
Okay Mr microcenter
Closest Micro Center to me is like 3-4 hours away from me
For me I need a new printer regardless of price since I'm starting up a shop and also my projects I'm doing are far too large for the A1 Mini
X1 P1 are fantastic for that
However may i recommend H2D
Dual nozzle means less changing colors
Half the waste and takes less time
It makes the X1 look baby
It's honestly a good thing I don't live closer to one. And H2D is a bit out of my budget. Especially since I'm not making money from my projects yet
That's why I'm getting the P1S and the AMS Pro 2
I mainly print in single colors, not multi color
And also try my best to avoid print with supports. So PVA isn't needed
Main thing I want to figure out is a good way to heat up the enclosure to the P1S since it isn't a heated chamber
If I can find a good one I might put a ceramic panel heater in the enclosure

Lucky
20 hours each way š
I'm an ocean away
Canāt wait until the weekend so I can redo and edit my project Iāve been working on for the past couple of weeks
Also for those that have the Platform series desks, this system is great https://www.multiboard.io/
The spacing is the exact same as the metal pegboard under the desk and also the side pegboards.
So you can easily have cable channels, and other things directly mounted.
Just 3D print some M4 screws and nuts (I think I used M4) and you'll be perfect
Also what Slicer do you guys like to use? I use Orca
bambu
I used Bambu for a good bit, and then moved over to Orca for a couple features
I also have my printer set up with HomeAssistant
Work in progress layout
Also adjusted the temps to show in C not F
Gotta love it when you fully print out something with threads, and forget to enable the modeled toggle
prusa
I want to get a Prusa, but will probably be once I get more familiar with printers in general. Having a Bambu makes things easy, but doesn't really give you a real experience outside of their own products
I have an anycubic printer, I just prefer the prusa slicer
Ah okay
Iām hoping once I get my new desk my prints will be a bit better. Currently dealing with some banding from the printing moving a lot on the current surface
Well you can use any slicer for any printer really
I'm aware lol
What do you guys think?
Is it just screwed in, doesnāt look like the normal clamp mounts
Custom mount I made, it's screwed directly into the controller
Wanted a super clean mount, couldn't find one. So been working on this project for awhile
Still working on it though, keep running into issues that are annoying
The entire thing though is solid
I need a front usb thingy for my pc
Prob going to mod my cupholder mount that I have on my desk so that It can be useful
I did that for my mount, has 2 USB 3.0 ports
The thing is I need to find either more usb ports or get an expansion card
Could probably get by with a USB hub, but a expansion card would probably be more reliable
I just looked and I can't get an expansion card bc I have a thick graphics card and the other one is for wifi and bluetooth
This is what gamers dream
I want that on a MOBO xD
Nah, not enough
Hahaha
Also learning CAD is something, and also annoying. Some things I want to do the software is just like "Nope, can't work on this face"
Yeah CAD sucks sometimes it is very picky even down to the nanometer when you want to extrude something
I have been working on this entire project blind xD More or less forcing myself to learn even if it's highly incorrect xD
Do you have a good set of calipers?
Don't ask me how many times I've used a sketch just to add onto something, I think I have like 70+ now xD
And most are dead, but can't delete or it'll mess stuff up
And yeah, was one of the first things I bought when I got my printer
What software are you using for CAD?
Fusion360, Personal
Fuck that. I love me my inventor
I was told hey you should use solidworks but I have been taught inventor and it is like glue
I wanted to try OnShape, but that is too damn expensive
Inventor is free for college students so it's a plus
Not in college atm, considering going next year for IT courses
Once I'm done with this model, I'm off to the next one
Or rather, picking up one I started months ago and haven't been able to complete until I get a new printer
I'll be finnneeeee
It's so much better than fusion yet somehow they're the same company
I do prefer solidworks but as you said, inventor being free for edu is a big W
Of course I don't have that anymore š¢
I don't get why OnShape is so expensive, apparently it's really good but $1,500/year is nuts
Yeah I am going to re apply for this year so that I can get more access to random crap. Hopefully I can get a lifetime license to it tho
It's probably catered to the commercial aspect
They have a free option, but all models you made are public access, so itās a nope for me š
Also learned that RTFM is actually useful sometimes, turns out when using inserts you should add 1mm deeper than you need, was wondering why I was having fitment issues with it perfectly flush xD
time for my longest print
Damn
I would split this up
We shooting for the moon today
Good luck lol
It's fiiiiiine
Looking good so far
šŖšŖ
Damnnn nice
It's all coming together
Hows it going
30 hrs perfection
Niceeee
5 bucks of filament and a full day is very high stakes
It was fiiiiiiine
Longest print Iāve done is I think 18 hours
Have about 4 hours of printing to do tonight, and then assembly
Assembly probably will take me 30 minutes or so
And redesigning majority of the part now since I still couldnāt get it how I wanted. Hopefully this way itāll actually be stronger and also less materials used
Blob of DOOM
It's a boy!
That color makes it look worse
How does this even happen? XD
Chinese yuan
We got X1Es and prusa Mk3/Mk4 at my uni
I mean it is a high school tho
my school doesnt even have working computers
Jeez
they're 30 years old
Ouch
Oh wtf
Backrooms printer fr
well, they call it stringing hell for a reason.
Somebody's filament needs drying
Indeed.
it's more than just that though
flowrate with this thing and stringing is so bad
just got my new bambu p1s. I'll set it up and take a benchy pic when I get back
Mostly pla matte
New p1s prints look good. First one is a render, Iāll take a photo of the result once I get back
https://eu.store.bambulab.com/products/pla-matte im buying one more someone choose a color that isnāt dark blue black white or lilac
PLA is the most common material in 3D printing as it's easy to print and inexpensive. Meanwhile, its stiffness and strength can meet most printing needs. It is worth mentioning that it can biodegrade in some artificial composting conditions. Bambu PLA Matte is designed for matte surface, and can be printed in speed up to 250 - 300 mm/s, which is...
@robust forum What do u think
Ye
it sucks that theyāre out of petg hf
They said restock by July/August, so itās gonna be a bit
Got some more colors itās around 25-28 usd total
unless you're canadian, no
Damn
Eyyyy bi filament
Wow itās so cheap to buy in China I got $150 worth of filament for $65
Crazy
almost like its all made there
Yeah lol
